how is 2 million being withdrawn from the victims account without a paper trail?

an atm card does not give you access to the actual account

you can only do transactions on it.

and these transactions are logged

and the banks can likely set up a system that will alert when a withdrawal is made using that card at any atm

this reads like a made up or embellished story.

for the clicks

even the people who stole the card have access to the internet and will know it is dangerous to continue with this transaction

If the customers insist, an indemnity form must be executed to absolve the bank.
I always advise aging people, add one of your trusted children as an additional signatory to your account. Desist from using a debit card if you're visually impaired is what I also advise. Go to the banking hall and get the money and not ATM as someone may take advantage of you. Update? If thee money was emptied ...the thief is working with a bank insider. Why would the thief be at the ATM with an expired card? ...tells me this is something she left home to do ...wait to assist who is having difficulties and swoop in to "assist". Post a N50K reward for her arrest and she will be turned in in less than hour. How many people have that tee shirt? Even if I don't see her face very well ... I can know it is my neighbour.
