The biggest human ritual deposits is still in the south east ! But one thing certain about the eastern people is to encourage evil in their land and become fixated in southwest ! Abeg is okija located in the southwest??

UncleAyo:
Something needed to be done urgently

The rising cases of ritual killings are deeply troubling and call for collective action from individuals, communities, and governments. Here are some strategies to address the issue:

1. Strengthening Law Enforcement

Enhance security measures: Increase police presence in areas prone to ritual killings.

Special task forces: Establish units dedicated to investigating ritual-related crimes.

Swift justice: Prosecute perpetrators promptly to deter others.

2. Public Awareness Campaigns

Education: Raise awareness about the dangers and myths surrounding rituals through media, schools, and community programs.

Engage influencers: Use religious, traditional, and community leaders to debunk myths and promote positive cultural values.

3. Address Root Causes

Poverty alleviation: Many people turn to rituals out of desperation for wealth or success. Addressing unemployment and poverty can reduce this desperation.

Mental health support: Offer counseling for individuals tempted by harmful beliefs or practices.

4. Collaboration with Religious and Traditional Institutions

Engage faith leaders: Partner with churches, mosques, and temples to promote ethical teachings.

Traditional leaders: Work with local chiefs and elders to discourage harmful practices within cultural contexts.

5. Legislation and Policy Reform

Stronger laws: Enact and enforce stricter laws against ritual killings and related activities.

Regulate spiritual practices: Monitor and regulate activities of individuals or groups promoting harmful beliefs.

6. Community Vigilance

Neighborhood watch groups: Encourage communities to report suspicious activities.

Empowerment programs: Train citizens to identify and counter harmful practices.

7. Promote Positive Cultural Values

Highlight success stories: Share stories of people who succeeded through legitimate means.

Youth engagement: Provide platforms for young people to express themselves and focus on productive activities.

8. Leveraging Technology

Hotlines and apps: Establish anonymous platforms for reporting ritual-related activities.

Surveillance: Use drones, cameras, and other technologies in crime-prone areas.

Addressing ritual killings requires a holistic approach that combines prevention, enforcement, and re-education. Everyone has a role to play in eradicating this menace.
unfortunately, nobody in this cruise nation found this educative writeup worthy of likes. Please anyone in govt reading through should put a call across to this uncle ayo on how to implement these pragmatic situations.

I wonder why people like these are not in power or why daft and inept people are more common in the place of authority

They have spread to Edo State.
Auchi and it's environs have been suffering high rate of ritual killing & kidnappings for the past one year.

Young people miss everyday and they are never seen. The one's that miraculously escape always mention bushes in the boundary between Ondo and Edo State as their hideout

If Nigerian government is serious this issue can be resolved. They just need to contract a specialized team ( not going to mention),to eliminate those at the forefronts and their foot soldiers. When the foot soldiers see their fellow hanging from street lamp pole or presented in specific fashion they won't think twice. This issue can be resolved

the only deterrent to this is the reintroduction and implementation of the death penalty on anyone arrested for ritual killing. it has now even become daily news that no one is even bothered again, once a story comes out, people shout ah ah ah, they warn themselves to be careful and that is all. for the last 10 years, we have yet to see someone who was arrested for ritual killing, taken to court, and sentenced. i am even sure that with the corrupt police system that we have most of those arrested for ritual killings are usually released back into society after 6months or a year.
implement the death penalty, once 5 people are executed publicly, people will sit tight and reduce the rate of these killings

Even the new trending movie "seven doors"highlights how the old oba killed his seven wives as rituals for longevity which he got

It's not fading away soon
Our movies, our politicians, the religious leaders are heavily into it.
