Once watch a video where the peregrine falcon ripped off the head of a duck... I had to download and slow down the speed to get what did that to the duck... The bird can fly at a speed of 390km/hr...

Not outrace, outsmart.

No prey can run faster than a cheetah. A pray must have good dribbling skills to survive a cheetah.

You are very correct. I just learnt a new thing today. The beautiful bird is likely faster than a 3.5 engine, 300 horsepower cars and even 4.0 litre engine.

Funilly, no land animal can outrun the chettah in sprint and a host of land animals can outrun the chettah in a sprint. It all depends on the start point. That's why the chettah depends so much on stealth and closeness to it's prey as much as possible as unlike the wild dogs, it's not built for endurance.

You are talking about animals that attack in packs. Defending against them is hard even for a very strong animal.

It's not about their numbers, it's about their sheer endurance. A wilddog can't outrun it's pray, but they can out-endure it till it's tired and out of breath and I think they have the highest success rate per hunting in the wild.
