Cost to japa has BALLOONED beyond what 90% of Nigerians can afford.

The combination of an UNFORGIVING exchange rate and BRUTAL immigration requirements by several countries have temporarily stemmed the tide of japa.

Plus, the rise of ANTI-IMMIGRANT sentiments has forced some people to reconsider.

Trump's entire campaign HINGED on treating immigrants as bad as possible. And it WORKED!

Most popular child name in UK for 2024 was Mohammed. UK citizens are SCARED now so they are ANTI-IMMIGRANT too.

MOST of Europe are experiencing a WAVE of anti-immigrant sentiments. They are rolling out measures that'd make immigration into their countries DIFFICULT and UNDESIRABLE.

To jaapa now will most likely cost you 25m and above so if you had that kind of money to begin with won't you use it to develop yourself here rather than head to a foreign country to start from level zero again

It is so very expensive to japa and immigration laws are tightening in many desired Countries.

When I relocated to the UK for my postgraduate studies from a third country, the tuition fees I paid was an equivalent of N5.2m then (after the deduction of the partial scholarship of £4,000).

Same program will cost about N41m for tuition fees....very expensive, so japa to UK via student route is N60m and above.

Nigerians are online noise makers

Japa is for those with huge fat account balance or those with access to loan.

It's not worth it for those going to UK though not entirely bad.

The cost has spiked dramatically, becoming increasingly elusive to the multitude pursuing it.

It is now very expensive

1.) It cost a fortune to travel now compared to before.

2.). Nigerians are broke now. As it stands, we don’t have middle class in Nigeria. You are either rich or poor. You can’t even plan a better future with #10million not to mention JAPA.

3.) Feedbacks from those who left the country is not encouraging.

Nigerians adapts to suffering easily.

Yes,its good to travel but its not until you travel before you make it in life.Work smart,pray and money will follow,then you can travel anywhere in the world.

It has simmered down a bit due to the cost and economic situation in the country. I don't know if this was intentional but things are very difficult now for more than 70% of Nigerians. The remaining 30% that can afford their 3 square meal don't have much in their savings to Japa.
