Chelseaboy101:This is a bit strange. Now if you flew with Brussels Airlines, except your destination is Belgium, ideally you're supposed to just stop over, except if they took you to France via local airport. Hence, you faced immigration in Brussels, since both are Schengen Zones. I experienced this in Australia. We left Joburg and landed in Perth. At the Perth Airport, we faced immigration, stamped in but luggage was not released. We're then taken by Virgin Australia to our final destination, which is Sydney in same Australia. When we're returning to Nigeria, we faced immigration to exit this time from Sydney, entered Perth without facing immigration again. Most likely, ensure you exit from Paris, stopover in Brussels without facing Immigration again, then you return back to Rwanda. But it's good for you to show you actually entered two Schengen Zones |

Hello everyone, please for people that applied for kids and travelling with the kids how do we submit their own documents? Will the parents bank statements be included in their own documents separately and will they also need their own cover letters? Please anyone that can help me with detailed info, I’m helping my uncle who wants to travel with his wife and 3children. Thank you all |

Marcgrace:This is so strange. Perhaps there was something else amiss with the application. I’ve had about 3 or 4 Schengen visas now. The first one I used was Portugal-issued, I used it and in fact Rome was my first point of entry (there’s no direct flight to Lisbon and this was the shortest route). I was worried I wouldn’t get it the second time (since I wasn’t stamped in by Portugal authorities at all) This time it was tourist and I used only my statement, I got it from France. Life happened and I didn’t use it because the trip I booked was linked to a London trip and I never got the visa for that so had to cancel it all. I applied again, I was scared I wouldn’t get it because I didn’t use my first French-issued visa, but I got it (bank balance a little over 2m). I’ve just applied for another one (I even dared to ask for a longer validity in my cover letter) so let’s see how this comes out. Summary is I’m not sure they can deny a visa just because you didn’t use a previous visa but then again, I recall explaining in my cover letter why I didn’t use that visa though. I don’t think a country should penalize you for not using a tourist visa. The visa fees have been taken from you and if they reject you, it’s non-refundable. In that same vein, you should be allowed to exercise your right to use the visa or not. |

Chelseaboy101:The last Schengen country is where you’d be stamped. So in this case, you will not be stamped by France at all. You will be stamped by Brussels Next time, use Air France. You can take the Eurostar to Brussels easy peasy.. Just to avoid the anxiety of wondering if there’s a consequence to being stamped in and out by another country. I don’t think it would affect your next application though. It’s normal to be stamped in by one country and another upon exit, due to how interconnected the Schengen zones are, plus who knows if you had other plans that affected you traveling from the port of entry. |

Atinukemi23:French embassy actually calls applicants directly sometimes. I know about 3 people who have been called. Two of them were for clarification around their itinerary. The last one was in response to an email requesting to withdraw passport |

Purpleivy:You've nothing significant to submit, as they're dependent., aside from birth certificate, evidence of paying school fees or letter from educational institution, their passports. Parents are the ones to submit cover letters and financial statement |

Good afternoon everyone, I know this is more about France visa, but the thread for norway visa is not active. Please I will like to know has anyone experienced this with norway embassy too or any embassy. I have submitted my application for a visit visa since 30th of October 2024 and up till now I have not received a message back from the embassy. I wrote them because my travel date is in 6 days and the response I got back is. Your passport is at the schegen consultation, we can't rush the process you will be notified when it's ready, please what does this mean, what is schegen consultation and does this application really take this long. I am really confused. I will appreciate any help I can regarding this thanks. |

Good day, everyone. I received my family visa application today along with a refusal letter. Although it was a first time application. My wife applied to travel with my two children, aged 9 and 7. Below is the list of documents I submitted: Application Letters: Personal, work, leave, children's school, and sponsorship. Financial Documents: Salary bank statement, sponsorship statement, and payslip. Ties to Home Country: Property documents, family photos, car documents, marriage certificate, and marriage photos. Travel History: My own travel history with my wife , and my other travel history. Certificates: Marriage certificate, birth certificates, school certificates, and achievement certificates. The only reason stated for the denial was that there’s doubt about their intentions to return to my home country after the visa expires. I’d like to appeal, but I don’t know where to send the appeal or if it should go through TLS as a normal application. Please, I need your advice on this and guidance on how to go about the appeal process. Thank you all! |

hunee:Thanks 🙏 But the address is not stated, and I’d like to know your opinion on their decision. I’m confused because they included the document, and their intention seems to be solely based on tourism, nothing more. Please, I need your advice on this. Thank you! |

Your appeal must go to nantes, frances walex222:The commission for visa refusals under Ministry of Foreign Affairs. betterstill, read this excerpts; To appeal a visa refusal in France, you can: File an appeal within 30 days: You must file an appeal within 30 days of the visa refusal. Write an appeal letter: Your appeal letter should include: A strong reason why you believe the visa was wrongfully rejected Your personal details, such as your name, date of birth, passport number, and contact information The date of the visa rejection The reason or letter of the visa rejection Documents that prove why you believe the visa was unfairly rejected Appeal to the CRRV: You can appeal to the Commission de Recours contre les Décisions de Refus de Visa d'entrée en France (CRRV). You can appeal in person, through a lawyer, or through a family member with a mandate. In this case, you can send an appeal to the Nantes via DHL, await outcome before you re apply. If i can ask sir, do you work? do you have a travel experience before? Address your short stay visa appeal to : The Deputy Director of Visas at BP 83609 44036 Nantes Cedex 01 Lastly, Do not draft this appeal in english language, ensure it is done in french and handled by your lawyer in Nigeria, then you dispatch to them. All the best |

Germany appointment dates are released at midnight between 11:30 - 12midnight. And don’t expect to get a slot for same week except someone cancels. Good luck. ZeroSpace: |

Irrespective of who issued your visa. The first Schengen country that you pass through their border control stamps you into the scheghen zone. So no qualms. Chelseaboy101: |

hello guys, i applied for France visa on the 13th and got a Ready for Collection email today...does this mean a refusal as it's been barely one week? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by thelma76(f): 6:51pm On Dec 20, 2024 |
mulannoire:I had my appointment on the 11th and got a “Ready for collection” SMS and email today. That’s their typical timeline but I was scared because this is peak season and I anticipated a delay. But I got the visa…..it’s my 4th Schengen visa though, and 3rd France visa. They gave me 6months multiple entry with 90days stay So I guess you can only tell when you go pickup. Once there’s no paper in your envelope, it’s likely approved. |
