I did mine myself, registered online, got it 8 weeks later. Some people who paid exorbitant price were not able to get theirs at the said date sef.
You can do it yourself too.

I did 5 years, and the total cost was around 32k.

Both the passport fee and the transaction fee cost around 29k while I paid 3k at the passport office for verification. That's all.

I spent 60k .for a 5 years validation 32 booklet passport. I got it in the space of 2 weeks.
If you are in Lagos I suggest you use alausa as the place of capture and collection.

What you need are your birth certificate and state of origin certificate with some passport photos.
You could use your phone to even snap and upload into the online application form.
