lacasera14:The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind... but by Nigerian standards we can hold our nose and vote for Abuja and Lagos. Thanks to Federal Government support. |

NaijaNaWaa:Then when next you write blame the FG for not developing the golden goose that lays golden eggs. The oil in Rivers/Bayelsa state accounted for the bulk of Nigeria's wealth and foreign reserve that they used to develop Lagos in the 80s and 90s. It's no surprise that the big only cities in Nigeria are the two that had ties with the government - one was capital for over 50 years and the other capital for 33 years now. Perhaps when the capital is moved to another state we'll have a third city. |

jelinco1982:There's Omoku, Bori, and Oyibo but none can match up. Rivers is a one-city state. Amaechi tried to develop other areas by creating the Greater Port Harcourt City but Wike said no, the development must only be in Port Harcourt. If not how do you construct up to 12 flyovers and none was outside Port Harcourt? |

All thanks to Wike. Peter Odili was the worst Governor to govern Rivers State. He wasted a whole 8 years and this character with zero vision asides from looting wanted to be Nigeria President. God forbid. Amaechi had opportunity tried very small, but did not deliver. Wike came and change the narrative, like he is doing now in Abuja. Fubara is also trying his best to impress and so far he's doing a good job. |

Fortruth:For someone so ignorant and clueless, you appear to be amused. It's called Rivers State. The only thing here that is a joke is you. You couldn't even get the name of the state right. Even associating it with what you termed backstabbing. An arguable staple of Nigerian politics. |

ben1daEbiri:Please try to understand the difference between indigenous language and colonial language. Afrikaans is colonial language brought to them by colonialism from Europe, so they can’t be Dutch. In your own case your indigenous language is Igbo, so you people are Igbos. |
| Re: Rivers State - The Treasure Base Of The Nation (pictures And Development) by Odingo1: 11:24pm On Dec 20, 2024 |
BondRiv:There is no unity begging here for people that speak Igbo as their indigenous language. A person that is a citizen of Togo but speak Yoruba as his indigenous language is a Yoruba person irrespective of country he is from. There are Yoruba speaking tribe that call theirselve ife tribe in Togo or Ewe in Cotonu, if they are claiming to be ife or Ewe but not Yoruba, does that make them not to be Yoruba as they called them in Nigeria, the bottom line is that they can speak to each other and can understand each which means that their language is the same. Countries are European creations so also state creation in Nigeria. So that is applicable to Ikwerre, Ogba etc dialects of Igbo language in Rivers State. They speak Igbo and they are Igbos. So Nobody is begging for unity from people that bear Igbo name and speak Igbo. |
| Re: Rivers State - The Treasure Base Of The Nation (pictures And Development) by Odingo1: 11:38pm On Dec 20, 2024 |
XXXOGBA:Nobody is forcing you to be Igbo, the nature have made you Igbo forever, unfortunately if you finish denying not being Igbo you will continue to answer Igbo names, speak Ogba dialect of Igbo and practice Igbo culture in marriages and so on. So God have stuck you guys with Igbo no escape route unless you guys will stop speaking and bearing Igbo names and learn Bini language. |
