Why is it that it is every December that CBN always bring out policies like this?
You go to your bank and they tell you no cash, now they are telling us you can't withdraw more than 100k daily of your own money vio POS. If you decide to make transfer and they debit you without dispensing, your bank will ask you to wait for 14 working days before reversal.
Na wa for this country sha.
You are not understanding what is being asked for

I don't see how they will enforce it, if I transfer N150K to pos agent and the person gave me Cash, how on earth will they know

And most of the pos people don't go to the bank to collect cash, they can collect N3m from filling station and do their business
That's why they'll be assigned agency code

How would this policy cause havoc to inflation??
A case wherein some people only uses card for withdrawal. If CBN don't limit the daily withdrawal to only ATM Mahines and not POS Machines. Some POS Operators will start charging extra for card withdrawal. I don't expect CBN to make monetary policies in favour of some few POS Operators but since it has now become a business avenue that many Nigerians survive on. Pos Operators has to be considered too. Take it or leave it, POS Operators knows their are still loopholes in this new monetary policy and they will take advantage of it again. Na the masses go still suffer am.

This is a very good move. Pos is not supposed to be able to transactt more than 60k on an at card at most.
Atleast there is ussd and also banking apps

This will help control criminals with access to people's banking cards
This is always the problem when a teenager living with his parents in the town settings who doesn't know there are villages where electronic facilities are not available is putting mouth in national matters.

You really failed economics in school. POS agents now stronger than banks, go back to school.
LoL
If you understand a sentence in what I just wrote you won't be saying this.

When or where did I say POS controls the bank.
I am telling you that the POS agents buy money from the gas stations, the traders and all.
People who used to take money to the banks no longer take money to the banks.
If you had any education, you would know that banks don't mint money.
Banks give out money that is deposited.
When nobody is depositing money what will they give....

Block heads be claiming woke

CBN has lost it. How about the earlier directive to banks about making cash available? Failed woefully. Now you are introducing another confusion. Joke of a regulator.

No... I am saying even cash withdrawals shouldn't be limited cos the money's value isn't that much. There are vendors who want their cash, banks are frustrating people nowadays, you make payment in the morning, alert might not drop till the next day.
get and app and stop waiting for alert which could be frustrated by mobile network
