| Re: Oil Marketers Reduce Petrol Price To ₦939.50 Per Litre by yommen: 9:21pm On Dec 20, 2024 |
PovertyAfonja:They were paying more than the actual cost of subsidy using the opportunity to steal money. Fellow Nigerians too were buying and taking across the boarders to sell since it was more expensive in those neighboring countries meaning Nigeria government was subsidising fuel prices for most West African countries. Government was also paying for fuel never supplied. It was total waste of money. |

hisgrace090:FG doesn't have the right. NNPCL is now a limited company. The marketers are the ones to decide the price based on their profits... My concern now is how much is NNPCL filling stations selling per litre. |

PovertyAfonja:don't mind the tribal jingoists. All of a sudden, they now realise it is extremely difficult and impossible to pay subsidy. Something Buhari paid for 8yrs. No matter the amount of subsidy removal Buhari will do, he will never allow the price of fuel to sell for #1000 under his leadership. I watched his interviews time and time again, Buhari's major concern was never to inflict additional pain on the average Nigerian. This empathy is what this current govt lacks. |

Lol... This is supposed to be a "reduction". This level of widespread manipulation is Machiavellian. ![]() When Bag of rice becomes 80k, they will also call it a massive reduction...! |

Mandate1:They claim it was being heavily subsidised...! Now, subsidy is said to be gone, money is claimed to be saved, so prices are flying up... But, how are the masses supposed to afford these?!! Where is the cushioning net?!! If fuel and electricity prices are soaring high along with education costs... Shouldn't there be some form of meeting or compromise point to mitigate hardship?!! If the buying power of the consuming masses declines, how do businesses survive?!! Economy is not the strong suit of these people in power. |

The same news, different headline. Later in the day you'll still see another caption of same news from TVC, later in the evening The Nation will come with its own.....all boils down to what Chiejina said about his company reduction in pump price. Now to the topic. What is the reduction here? The MSR that adjusted the price of its pump is insignificant and only applicable to Lagos alone. Petrol price in other parts of the country is still above 1000. The ruler of this country, King Nebucadnezzer is in Lagos to share rice to his people who will never ask for good governance. |
