MOOslims have lately been applying the ignorance and illiteracy of their 7th century former caravan robbing false "prophet" to Christian Scripture.

In particular, it would appear that they don't understand the meaning of Matthew 24:36 which states as follows:

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

It's reall quite simple to understand and if you're a Christian, you should follow the trusted rule of interpreting Scripture by using Scripture.

The New Testament was written in two languages: Koine Greek and Aramaic.

The word “know” that is used in Matthew 24:36 in the original Greek is eideo or oiden which depending on the context in which it is used, can also mean “to tell something or to make known or declare something”

You can see an example of this in 1 Corinthians Chapter 2 Verse 2 with Paul.

Paul uses the same Greek word Eideo when he writes to the Corinthians to inform them of his visit to them. Paul says:

When I came to you, I decided to know (Eideo) nothing except Jesus and Him crucified…

Does that mean that Paul literally didn't know anything about the Corinthian Church he was planning on visiting? No, Paul was saying:

When I came to you Corinthians,
I only declared Jesus Christ and Him being crucified for your sins

So similarly, Jesus in is not
saying in Matthew 24:36 that He does not have cognitive
knowledge of the hour but that it is not for Him to make it known to His Disciples because that is for the Father alone who can declare it and not the Son.

The reason is throughout Scripture, Jesus usually compares His second coming to a Jewish wedding. In fact, there are many parables and instances in the Bible where Jesus is likened to a Groom and the Church is called His Bride.

According to Jewish wedding traditions, it's the
Father who makes known the wedding day not the bride or the groom.

The bride and the groom know their own wedding day but it's the Father of the Groom who makes it known, he's the one who declares it to the Community.
