Behind every towering empire is a humble beginning. The key to success lies in starting with what you have, where you are. The most successful entrepreneurs didn’t wait for perfect conditions—they built their vision brick by brick. Start small but think big, because even the smallest step forward can ignite massive transformation. |

PovertyAfonja:don't mind him. He claimed initially that where will the present government get $10bn to pay like their predecessors were doing, later claimed again after your comment that the predecessors were paying more than necessary, so he should tell us why can't the current government be paying the actual amount, which should cost less, in the interest of the masses? A father eating well to the fullest while telling his children to endure hunger and starvation,,,, what a father ![]() |

yommen:You're being clever by half. What is subsidy? You are importing petrol and paying subsidy when you have nonfunctional refineries that will eliminate the entire subsidy talk. What you have now, is a situation of conflict of interest, where the sector is heavily connected to the ruling family. Go figure. |

PovertyAfonja:The price of crude oil is $73 per barrel. 159 litres make one barrel. That means one litre of $0.458 To know how much a litre of oil will cost in Naira, multiply it by the present exchange rate, let's say 1,600. So 0.458 x 1,600 will give us about N73o. So, a litre of crude oil is 730 If a litre of crude oil is 730, how can they now sell the refined product for 197? That is what you called the subsidy and it had bankrupted the economy. It would have cost the government about 10 trillion this year to provide. |

yommen:so by your own logic, anytime the value of the currencies of our neighbors appreciates making our products cheaper in their countries, Nigeria must continue to increase the prices at home for the sake of discouraging export via smuggling? ,where is the sense in this really? |

ogolemati:That's delusional, even in advanced nation, gas and petrol ain't cheap. What should be raised is the purchasing power of the people so they can reasonably afford it. On the other hand, we may get to #50 or a bit below if the foreign exchange rate significantly improve but petrol will not still be that cheap as you presume. |

Before you can criticize government and get them to work the way you want is for you to understand how government works first, that’s how one daft punk was blaming the president for the bad roads in his constituency fools
