It took Britain weeks to conquer North from fulani. But fulani conquered Hausa and some other minority tribes in northern Nigeria and rule over them. This is to show you that Black African tribes are weak. Britain couldn't conquer and colonise Egypt and some other arabian nations |

Bendeco02:Stop flooding the whole place with your self hating outbursts riddled with inferiority complex. "Black African tribes" bla bla bla. First off, it is not tribes! Tribes are for baboons and chimpanzees. These are ethnic groups and nations. Secondly, defeats to superior military power is not something particular to "black African tribes". China was conquered and humiliated many times. India was colonised. Even the Arabs who had an early take on modernised military technologies, were roundly defeated by those with far more superior technologies. It is still happening up till this day. Finally, military conquests are products of access to superior military training and superior fighting weapons. The Chinese basically discovered dynamite, but the British and the West were the first to thoroughly weaponise it. That helped the west to use the same Chinese inventions to subjugate the Chinese. But that was then. The same Chinese have now become even so powerful that countries like Britain that carved her apart in the past, can not dare to challenge them militarily today. So it is phase by phase depending on who made more conscious efforts to train, modernise and utilise sophisticated military hardwares and intelligence. It has little to do with colour or tribes but more to do with how violent the cultural outlooks of a group is/are. Stop blaming everything on the black colour. Handle your frustrations better! |

MadPolitician:China was suppressed by Japan then. Same race But China was never colonise by any nation. India on the other hand has improved by far. They are among top technology nation. Even Israel was colonised by Britain abi Italy. But today these nations has rised But you see black Africans eh. They refuse to grow. Our problem is that we don't improve. We remain same place. If european choose to re colonise us again. Can we defend our continent? The only strong nations in africa are Egypt and South africa (white influence) |

Bendeco02:Who colonised Hong-Kong and Macau? Are those not Chinese territories? Many parts of mainland China including shanghai and others were conquered by different powers at different stages. Infact, the Chinese experience with colonial Britain was very brutal with the opium trade. Turned them into drug addicts. The reason why Chinese punishment for drug related offences is way too serious these days. There is nothing wrong with your black color! Stop the sickening argument. Go to Asia today, many African countries live better than Laos, Cambodia, Philippines and Myanmar. But if tomorrow those countries advance rapidly for other social and political reasons, you will be here to make it all about race. Rest joor! |

Bendeco02:yes the British conquered kano in weeks due to many things. 1. The emir of kano at this time with most of the fighting force are in their perennial visit to sokoto. 2.the British soldiers largely are made of hausa askari troops who know everything about the emirates. 4. The British have a superior military at this time by far the best in the world. 5. The British also practised a superior tactics knowing that the emirates army has few guns and relied heavily on cavalry they decided to fought a missile Warfare and utilised their machine guns and and artillery to their best advantage. 5. Psychologically the caliphate morale at this time was very low the war with the Europeans has already become inevitable since late 1890s the caliphate was encircled the France from North and west the Germans Already annexed Earstern Adamawa And the British from the south, and knowing that the large part of the Muslim world has falled to the Europeans including Egypt and the mahdists Sudan which is already prophesied in the Qur'an and Dan fodio himself prophesied that his caliphate will lasts only 100 years some of the officials of the caliphate decided that war against the British is futile and instead surrendered peacefully. The likes of zaria, Gombe, katagum and the earstern emirates all surrendered peacefully to to the British. |

kettykings:you clearly didn't understand history well the British conquerd the vast spaces in the north with little time than in igbo land due to the difference in political structures, the north is make up of several emirates organised under the ultimate authority of the sarkin musulmi (amirul mumineem) or sultan of sokoto, so when the British take the capital of the emirate there is no other place to renewed the struggle unlike in the acephalous communities like igbo where you need to subjugated every single village since all of them are independent, it is not something special it happened during the jihad the jihadist overran the Hausa states starting from the battle of tabkin kwatto(1804) and culminated with the fall of the gobir capital at alkalawa in 1809 ( 5 years only) but outside hausaland the jihadist face a lot of difficulties in conquering the acephalous communities in the Central Nigeria that is why the jihad progress slowly if not by 1900 the jihadists will overrun all the territory from the Sahara desert to Atlantic ocean. |

Bandirao:They would have overran your tribe not everyone. Fulani was able to overran hausa easily because they're dull. They manipulated them at first stage with Islam. They still use their brain till today No hausa man has ruled Nigeria, but their region North West has produced the highest number of president. Fulani rule them as Emirs and still take advantage of their population to get presidency. Fulani was not able to conquer Kanuri (Borno) in core North till today. They conquered who they can manipulate at first stage before applying physical combat Ilorin was conquered because those ones gave them the chance and they used the opportunity. |

Bendeco02:the Hausa are not dull as you want to puts here they are the most developed peoples in Nigeria precolonial era, and what is more the Fulani are revolutionaries that have the full support of hausa, and the go and research history well the Fulani conquered borno even sacked it capital and burned it to the ground the eastern emirates of Gombe, katagum, hadejia, and fika were all caved out from western borno, the kanuri shift there capital then to kukawa before they were finally conquered by rabih azzubayr which brought the end of the seyfawa dynasty who ruled borno for over a millenia. And there is one hausa that ruled Nigeria I think, Murtala ramat Muhammad is clearly is hausaman the reason he was being associated with Fulani is that he has blood relation with the ruling house of kano through his maternal side. |

After the British conquests of sokoto caliphate they see a lot of developments that they never imagined existed in sub Saharan Africa literacy rate is so high about 90 % even slaves can read and write the sokoto caliphate is the most developed state in sub Saharan Africa, they admired the Northern culture that they even see it foolish to totally dismantled the the sokoto institutions they decided to maintain them and install new emirs usually from the same ruling house hence the birth of indirect rule in northern Nigeria.

Bandirao:Hope you know the meaning of the word Conquer? To invade or attack a place is different from Conquering a place That word revolutionaries is what i refered as fulani deceived them with Islam ? When they invaded a tribe, kill and replaced their kings Sarrki with Emir. All the Emirs in Hausa land are Fulani and you're deceiving yourself here. If fulani had true intention, they would have replaced the so called corrupt hausa leaders with other hausa men trusted by the people instead of installing themselves. Go and learn and stop blind arguement. That fulani once invaded Kanuri (Borno) doesn't mean they conquered them. They would have installed Emir title which will be ruled by Fulanis if they succeded |
