'Congratulations' — Boniface hails Osimhen for buying airport

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface congratulated his international teammate Victor Osimhen for buying an airport.

The 23-year-old is the Nigerian national team's second-choice striker after the Galatasaray man, and despite gunning for the same position in the Super Eagles, the pair seemingly have an excellent relationship.

Osimhen and Boniface are not strangers to online banter and have, on multiple occasions, had playful exchanges in social media platforms.

What Boniface said
In a recent Instagram story, Boniface, who is currently injured until the new year, shared the picture of a perky completed airport and playfully tagged Osimhen as the owner of the real estate.

While Osimhen is certainly affluent, leading many on the internet to take Boniface’s post at face value, the Die Werkself striker was most likely joking.

The Ondo-born striker is one of the most playful characters in football. During an international break, he teased another fellow striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, to gift him €100. He has so playfully told Osimhen to buy him a car.
