Jesus taught his disciples something really helpful: "But you, do not you be called Rabbi, for one is your Teacher, and all of you are brothers. Moreover, do not call anyone your father on earth, for one is your Father, the heavenly One. Neither be called leaders, for your Leader is one, the Christ" Matthew 23:8-10 Why did you mention the names of these men with regards to the question you asked about Christmas? Let's go back to your post: Daejumong:Their religious titles has captured your mind so you must reckon with whatever they say but the problem now is they are not saying the same thing regarding Christmas instead they are CONTRADICTING themselves. 1Corinthians 14:33 But let's replace their popular religious tithe with the common title used to address everyone: Mr Kumuyi, Mr Olukoya, Mr Adeboye, Mr Oyedepo. Do you think their opinion will count again? Well the truth regarding Christmas is found in the Bible where God COMMANDED His people not to copy any custom from idol worshipers {Deuteronomy 12:30} this is the reason why you can't find a single servant of God who marked his or her birthday in the Bible. The two examples of birthday celebrations are from pagans {Genesis 40:20; Matthew 14:6} God's word taught us that instead of remembering the day we were born it's better to remember the day a person dies because that is when we can be certain that the person succeeded in doing God's will throughout his life {Ecclesiastes 7:1-2} in harmony with this instruction Jesus of Nazareth was born but God made sure that his date of birth was never recorded in the Bible rather it was the date Jesus died that was recorded because it's that day Jesus declared "it has been accomplished" John 19:30 That's why none of his disciples celebrated the day he was born but the day he died day have continued to make a memorable day as he himself commanded: Also, he took a loaf, gave thanks, broke it, and gave it to them, saying: “This means my body, which is to be given in your behalf. Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” Luke 22:19 That's what his disciples took to heart {1Corinthians 11:23-25} therefore if anyone say "it's good to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ" such a person has tried for sure but according to Jesus we must stick to whatever he taught us not what people think is good for Jesus! Matthew 15:7-9 Thanks, God bless you and may you have PEACE! |

AntiChristian:Muhammad also snorted like a camel and wanted to commit suicide by jumping off a mountain because the demonic torment was much. "...Would that I see revelation coming to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He (Hadrat 'Umar) said: Would it please you to see the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) receiving the revelations 'Umar lifted a corner of the cloth and I looked at him and he was emitting a sound of snorting. He (the narrator) said: I thought it was the sound of a camel..." -Sahih Muslim Book 7, Hadith 2654 "Prophet (peace be upon him) became so sad as we have heard(come to know) that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down..." -Sahih Bukhari 9:87:111 |
