If you mean by these pictures, not all part of aba is developed as this, at least i once had a business at eziama, going by this pictures, there are places more picturesque and beautiful than this that are non state capital, this is just a small portion of a town.

There are places like this in my village, uromi, there are neighborhoods like this even in warri, ota, bichi etc, if you take an aerial photo of some part of GRA, keffi you get something like this.

Most states in the south east are just a combination of 10 towns of many states in Nigeria, like, oyo state for example is the same size with the whole south east as a region, so developmental spread will normally be easy in the south east.

I have been to 27 states in Nigeria, 8 African countries.

What about the other five states , let's see ogbomosho the biggest none capital town in south west.

Oshogbo is capital, Ondo is a State.

You should mention Ore, Zaria, Warri, Ogoja, Auchi, Ekpoma, Ughelli, Onitsha, Nnewi, Otta.

There is Ondo Town different from the state, just like Enugu, Kano, Kaduna, Oyo, etc having the name of the State as the name of a town within the state.
Unlike others, except Oyo, Ondo Town is not the capital city of the state

Be deceiving yourselves.
Lagos was Nigeria capital for 70 years plus. Look at Abuja that has been capital for just odd 30yrs and see what has become of a once empty land.
The capital of western region was Ibadan and we all know how backward and outdated with dilapidated buildings Ibadan is.

I have been to Uromi, Uromi try, but Uromi is not even as developed as Ogidi my home town or places like Obosi, Oba , Okigwe etc.
No part of Nigeria has more developed towns with modern buildings than Igboland.

The developmental spread argument is ridiculous.
Igboland has the biggest population density in Nigeria which means that it's harder to build and maintain infrastructure here. We build our houses up and we charge the roofs often or just renovate them too.
No body forces Oyo to build bungalows and not change the roofs or maintain the buildings regularly.
