This is not about hunger, this is about a lack of general discipline and an inability to queue.

As an example, I once went past Ojuelegba around 16 years ago. There was dust on the side of the road as a result of a scramble because an idiot politician was throwing recharge cards and this was for Local government elections.

From what I saw of the activity, there definitely would have been an injury to someone and blood because of how bad the scramble was.

Back to hunger, even during NPN and UPN times when Abiola used to give rice and beans, people were still needing to be flogged and controlled by policemen. That was over 40 years ago.

I myself have never known a time when Nigerians have never complained of starvation or hunger. Do you know when 0-1-0 came into parlance, as far back as the early 80's.

There's no point arresting the woman whose only intentions were for good. A stampeded of similar sort happened in Rivers State organized by a church and many died but the pastor was never arrested. The pastor is not at fault neither is the Ex Ooni's wife. They should be brought in for questioning to investigate what happened and take actions to forestall future occurrence. Arresting them won't bring back the dead. It has happened and there's nothing to be done about it. The organizers didn't anticipate that sort of crowd. They made arrangements for 5,000 and were overwhelmed. You're arresting them for something they had no control over and are feeling the psychological effect of it. Is that how to arrest is now sweet?
