This is actually true life scenario and I'm posting for someone anonymously.

A guy and a lady planned to travel to the UK on a student visa together they contributed and paid the deposit. The plan and agreement was that the guy will study then the lady will work to help with the tuition fee payment of £18k 50-50. then after school everyone will go their way.

Before they traveled, the lady was subtly catching feelings for the guy but the guy was having none of it because it's just contract for him.

When they got to the UK last year, they both moved to different cities , the guy started school and she got a job and started working.

When it was time to pay the balance of the tuition, the lady refused to contribute to the payment. Claiming she doesn't have money and if she must pay it, she will have to move in with him and start acting like his wife.

The guy refused and reminded her about the agreement. She insisted on her own ideas. When she saw that the guy was not bulging she blocked him on all social media so he was not able to reach her for sometime.

When the pressure from school became too much , the guy started hustling day and night breaking his back and still covering his lectures and assignments.

The guy was tempted to remove her from his visa because he's the main visa holder and she's the dependant but he didn't , hoping that she will still fulfill her own part of the agreement.

She remained incommunicado untill the guy managed to pay off all the tuition, passed all his courses and finished school.

Few months after he finished school , she reached out and was acting all friendly. Apparently the company she was hoping to get a sponsorship from disappointed her so she was trying to buy her way into jumping on the 2 years post graduate visa the guy was about to apply for.

Remember, out of the £18k tuition , she only contributed £2k for the deposit and refused all further payments. Now she wants to give the guy £2k to take him on his post graduate visa.

The guy refused and removed her from his visa because of her wickedness and untrustworthiness.
Her visa expired and as she was not able to see a sponsor,she was asked to leave the country .now she's in Nigeria swearing for the guy. Threatening to report him to her village juju etc.

Do you think he did the right thing??

u sabi think i swear. How can the lady be working and sending the guy to school and the guy on the other hand will just go like that after the school. We are always quick to blame women without looking at the both side of the coin

Nigerians and mago mago. That was how a relative of mine did this and they still added a child that doesn’t belong to either of them to the application. When i heard it ehn i was weak. If she reports him he would get deported too

I can see that it is fear of village juju that made you bring this matter here.

The guy is a gonna if she takes the matter to her village juju.

The guy did not do well because at a point the lady wants them to be together and the guy refused! I think rhe story is more than what you wrote here.

The guy was not mature in handling this issue because students in UK also work while schooling the authority encouraged them to do so, lazy guy waiting for the Lady to pay all that money, contract can be amended base on situations. Black man's mentality of entitlement

We need to hear the Lady's side of the story!

1...U gender doesn't like being accountable for for anything....not even your own actions..

2...this scenario is even worse....the guy is expecting her to pay half of his tuition so she can remain in the UK....I know that's the agreement yeah!!....but there is no woman in this universe time and space that will pay that money after entering the UK...
..she will rather take her chances that she will get a sponsorship job within a year than pay half of a degree that her name won't be on the certificate .... even you won't pay even off u signed an agreement....

Let her go and report. She will die there. You that's asking, you don't have sense at all. What do you expect

The guy was really strong, to have completed his studies with such disappointment.

As for the threat, because we believe in juju, let him be really prayerful.
If his mum is still alive, he should inform her.

It's not true. It's people like you that sell their soul. They had an agreement, and his reason is so he can focus on his study. The girl wants to move in and do wifely, he doesn't want to knack. Is it by force. It's not an entitlement anything. It was a mutual opportunity, she failed her part. If she didn't want to,she would have declined. You people think sentimentally. What if the guy couldn't meet up with his studies and combining the extra work. You think everyone can pull it off.

They married legally in Nigeria and she travelled as his spouse. Every process was legit. The agreement they had is just verbal.
