Is the country currently earning anything close to the oil revenue available to Obasanjo's administration?
The answer simply is the country has earned more on average since 2015 than during obj tenure i.e. 1999-2007.

Snr man do small research before you post.

Reality dawning . His Excellency actually answered most of the questions with humor

Shop at mart instead of mall

Annoyingly, those who are privilege hardly patronize road side sellers. They keep on giving their money to the capitalist . Buying fresh fruits at road side compared to mall or mart is almost 10% difference

Lately, I have been deliberately buying some things at the road side just to boost the economy
You will be surprised that many of those you are referring to here go to abule egba, ketu, mile12, etc to do bulk purchase.

Visit Sunday market on Wempco road on Sunday you will testify

Everything depends on revenue, from oil or otherwise. Obasanjo was able to pay $12 billion in order to get some debt written off. Can you imagine what $12 billion dollars would do to the economy right now?

The country and the economy are in a more different situation than when Obasanjo was president. You can't objectively compare the two.
If the country doesn't have any money to play with you can bring all the experts in the world and the economy will still require some time to get back on track.
how does nigeria not have money?

how was obj able to pay the money you say he paid?

was it because of revenue or because of competence and proper management?

how was Abacha able to manage the nigerian economy despite all the sanctions imposed on nigeria?

At the every moment Tinubu made that statement i finalize Tinubu is a wicked soul ...

Your friend has 5 rolls royce and you could watch him to the point he demotes to an honda, oju tii ore mii oju o tii mii .. that person no get shame nii

Lets even analyse it, did tsuanmi take away the 5 rolls royce or 1k per litre be the problem
the money to buy 5 rolls royce must have come from a huge investment, the business must have liquidated or folded up

Since the inception of Tpain govt, so many businesses have folded up, is Tinubu taking credit for his friend's misfortune

If Tinubu friend can suffer misfortune and more people are at the verge of downgrading to honda how does it boost the economy.

if i have one rolls royce, definitely i will have a company & staffs, coming down to honda means those my staffs are demoted to okada or bicycle riders, is that a boost to the economy or employment

What aan achievement of a most unfortunate kind.
This encapsulates the harsh reality of negative growth, stagnation, and outright retrogression in one breath.

For context and comparison, during Obasanjo's administration, Nigeria witnessed unparalleled economic strides: billionaires emerged in record numbers, the telecommunications sector experienced unprecedented growth, and the banking industry soared to the world stage to become one of the fastest-growing in the world. Fast forward to the current APC-led regime, and the narrative has changed dramatically.

A lot of people then moved from Honda to rolls royce and from commercial flights to private jets.

We now find ourselves in an era where survival trumps progress. The socio-economic landscape paints a grim picture: individuals once driving rolls royce cars now trading them for Honda,

Honda owners relinquish their vehicles for tricycles, tricycle owners trade down to motorcycles, and those on motorcycles abandon them to join the ranks of those trekking. This chain of devaluation mirrors a larger systemic collapse, a regression from ambition to subsistence.
The more you try to understand that statement the more insensible it becomes

His friend went from 5 rolls royces to an honda, how is that a source of pride in any context

Can the friend even hear that and be happy, it just a clear indication Tinubu lacks emotional intelligence, empathy and highly insensitive

It’s doesn’t look well for the business community either..

Is the country currently earning anything close to the oil revenue available to Obasanjo's administration?

Tinubu can never give what he doesn't have, was he not the same man shouting like Salah ram to the slaughter that if the university he supposedly attended exposes his results to the public, that it will cause him an irreparable damage, this is the same person who is supposed to be very proud of his first class accounting certificate or are we missing something here?

Except if you are saying all the road sellers are not hygienic. I am not talking of food here/canteen, I am talking of food materials and others household items that cost ridiculously at mall but cheap at road side. I understand the quality part.

My only challenges with the road side sellers is them charging you ridiculously. I sometimes don't have issue with their charges as it might still be more fair than mall but there are times are also change it for them. They access you before giving you price

Cow skin for example is not that common in my location, I saw a place where they are selling, the first time, I bought like $1, I was the one even telling the guy that it's enough, the next time I went to buy $1.5, what the guy cut was just even too small for the first $1.
With this your logic, the presidential jet tinubu met, why did he go for a newer one? With this your logic, now show the DNA you are made of,

Sometimes, different people do the same thing for different reasons. Not everyone that shops at malls do so for ostentation sake. Some people do it for hygiene sake. Roadside sellers will sneeze into the gutter or urinate or even go to a hidden corner to poo and return to their stand to continue selling without washing their hands. I have watched a food hawker using water from the gutter to wash the plates she was using to serve people. Actually, the water was rushing out of the gutter wall like tap water, and looked clean. Some of the customers (mostly bus drivers and bus loaders) that crowded her watched her use the water to wash the plates and afterwards accepted the food served in those plates.

A few days ago, I wanted to buy Dates from an Aboki. I sighted him while he was still a bit far and I was waiting for him to get to where I was standing so that I would patronise him. As he was coming, he stopped, packed his wheelbarrow, moved close to a gutter, urinated and returned to continue his movement without washing his hands. As he was getting closer to where I was standing, someone stopped him and he had to use a cup to measure tiger nuts into a waterproof bag for the person. This is the same person who just urinated without washing his hands. But if there's a shopping mall nearby and I ignore him to patronise the shopping mall, someone like you will condemn me for not patronising him.

I pity roadside sellers. I give them money when I can afford to do so. When I manage to buy things from them, I don't accept balance from them. But I don't have to express the pity to the detriment of my health.

Apart from hygiene, there is another concern. The ones that hawk cashew nuts are very mischievous and crafty. They use neat cashew nuts to cover very bad ones in the nylons or in the bottles. Once you open what you got from them, you will regret patronising them. If it is not wickedness, why do they carefully use neat ones to cover the bad ones? If you buy cashew nut from a shopping mall, the nuts inside will be as neat as the ones you could see from outside the transparent bottle.
You have said it all. Nothing will make me risk my health because I want to patronize roadside sellers. I know what and what I can get from road side and I know what I will never get from them even at gun point.

Lies from the pit of hell. Someone with 5 rolls royce each costing 300k dollars can never switch to Honda because of fuel. Las Las he will sell one rolls royce and use the money to buy a tanker of fuel.

Also Someone with 5 rolls royce definitely has tens of other luxury cars. Definitely lives in a mansion. Owns tens of properties home and abroad. If me that doesn't have rolls has not downgraded to Honda because of fuel. Someone with rolls royce can never downgrade
Its a very believable story. Our President cant lie grin
