I am tempted to reply you once more.
Your assertion about tiktok being targeted due to having the highest engagement per post is false.
Wait....... Do you know anything about data?
What do you think Facebook is selling?
Where do you think the spam emails you receive come from? You think they just guessed your email address? Or they used a random email address generator software? 😂😂 Dey play my fans.
And did you say tiktok is the most engaged social media platform in the world? Are you living under a rock? A platform with with 5.30% engagement rate on accounts with over 100k followers is what you call the most engaged?
But first, I need you to define "engagement." You can't reason like this and expect me to listen to you on complex topics like "multi polarism."

Now, let's properly school you.

Listen, it ain't about engagement, it's about personal data.
Data and personal info is a multi billion dollar industry that is not going down anytime soon.
Tiktok app has the hidden ability to monitor your keyboard clicks. For instance, if you enter your banking app or another website via tiktok, there is a 90% chance that they already know your password. You don't have to believe me, it's a choice. Take it or leave it.
The personal data of people, especially important people can give out sensitive info about the whole security architecture of a whole country. Your data, i.e, what you do online tells a whole damn lot about you. Social media like tiktok and co can know the next move of a military commander based on his interests. These interests he or she unknowingly reveals through their activities on such social platforms.
Such platforms can know what you intend to do.
Lemme give you a spoiler alert. This ain't western media bull shit or anything. If a girl is pregnant, Facebook and Google have an 80% chance of knowing that she is pregnant.
How? Such an individual will most likely use the internet to search for info that relate to her condition or what is happening to her at that present moment. With the help of cookies that have been placed on your browser, those cookies then report back to Facebook, twitter, Google etc telling them what you did on another website, the pages you visited and how long you spent on it. In that way, they assemble all your data and make a near perfect prediction about you and your state of being and even what you intend to do or what you are likely to do.
And finally, put in a very good Data Analyst who knows the in and outs of database management. You are a gonner
One more time please, how exactly did you manage to earn a certificate if this is how you reason things
Before you call my bluff, I earned a certificate in Data analysis on Coursera. This ain't about western media BS. I know the power of data.
You are right about data collection but he is also right about the reason he gave.
Governments can easily obtain data using the law or via the back door and when such is not forth then you recieve the big stick. Sometimes it is more of economic war than national security.

Gbadebo19:
Now, let's put all the jargons I wrote above into a real life scenario. A commander is at war and upon hearing that his unit just immobilized an enemy unit and a promotion is awaiting him. What are the things he has done when he is extremely happy? Remember, these things could be up to a hundred or hundreds. The data analyst then narrows it down to the most probable.
1. He is going to visit his mistress.
2. He may share the news on telegram
3. He may go to drink in a bar. Etc
That info has already been passed over by a social media platform that cooperates with the armed forces, most of them actually do. They simply wait for him to make the move they are expecting and voila!!!!

How exactly did they know he was going to be in that particular location when they liquidated him since security forces already make arrangements to safeguard on tracking
That's the power of data for you
Lol it doesn't work like that, first of most security guys keep off giving vital info on social media plus there are more secure apps with high encryption online for communication also most of the data collected has to do with behavioral lifestyle which can be use for social engineering, sales and marketing, political and alot more.

Baidu has shown very little interest in competing on a global scale. You don’t even need to be told that, it is common sense. Just look at Baidu’s homepage and you will see that it is written in Chinese and not English. That should tell you something.

China has 1.4 billion people. That is a large enough market for anything. Even having 10% of that market is more than enough. But Baidu has almost 700 monthly users. That is half of China’s population.
I was having similar discuss with someone some years back, he was talking about Chinese car not taking all over the world, I told him China has population if you can get only 10% of the market you won't even bother fighting for the global market. There are alot of phone companies China we don't know of but are doing pretty well in China.

Let’s address your points one after another.

obedience4:
Baidu is available worldwide.
1. Anyone can access Baidu. The only times you cannot access it is if it was blocked by your country or if Baidu blocked your country. But whether you can use Baidu to search the web the same way you use Google is another thing. Baidu is made for a Chinese audience, so it only accepts search terms written in Chinese. And it also returns results in Chinese. If it were made for an international audience, it will accept English search terms and will return results in English.

obedience4:
Baidu is publicly Listed on NASDAQ in the US
2. Being listed on NASDAQ has nothing to do with whether it’s an international search engine. Baidu is only on NASDAQ for financing (aka money). It has nothing to do with its availability for Americans.

obedience4:
There's is Baidu English which is available to the world,
3. There is no Baidu English anywhere. Baidu did not create any version for English. If there is, please share the link here. I would love to see it. If you are talking about BaiduinEnglish dot com, the site is not owned by Baidu. They wrote it clearly on the site. It is owned by a translation company and they use Google translate to translate your English words to Chinese and the Chinese results page back to English.

obedience4:
Also Baidu Japanese.
4. There is no Baidu Japan. There used to be, but it closed down years ago. Baidu Japan was made specifically for the Japanese market. That one understood Japanese search terms and returned Japanese websites. But it was exclusive to Japan and not to the whole world.

obedience4:
They are multiple interface of Baidu depending on your language preference so you can use translators.
5. Baidu only has one interface and that is the one at baidu dot com. You cannot even change the language to another language. It is Chinese all through.

obedience4:
Same way Chinese people would have to translate English to Chinese when using Google, people outside china would have to translate Chinese to English.
6. Chinese people don’t need to translate English to Chinese to use Google. Google is an international search engine, so it understands Chinese words. You have to translate with Baidu because it is not an international search engine and does not understand non-Chinese words.

obedience4:
P.s me calling him the "legal man" is a compliment to his personality. How many people can study law in college and pass out successfully??

Dude already has the foundation in law and he can build on it. He can go to law school anytime he chooses that shouldn't be your problem...

Many of them do know China is a huge market, or why do they think China is suddenly having a lot of millionaires and billionaires? 1.4 billion people, with most of them being middle class, is no joke.

I used to buy stuff from China to resell here about 10 years ago. I saw lots of Chinese companies I didn’t even know existed. From Alibaba to 1688 back then. Funny thing is that most Chinese companies actually sell in China and only a small minority sell outside China. It is that small number that we know. We don't know the rest.

Same way, many US and EU carmakers even rely on China to make any profits these days. Benz, Audi, and BMW all make over one-third of their sales in China. It is their largest market. Even Tesla sells more cars in China than in the whole of the EU.

The only other market that beats China in Tesla sales is the US, and the difference is around 50k vehicles … 650k plus in the US in 2023 vs 600k plus in China the same year. Meanwhile, it was around 350k in the whole of the EU. China is a large market.

LOL. CHINA IS PUSHING IT PRODUCTS OUT (USING AN EXPORT ORIENTED ECONOMIC MODEL) BECAUSE OF THE LOW PURCHASING POWER OF ITS CITIZENS. B4 U ARGUE CHINA DOMESTIC CONSUMPTION IS ONLY ABOUT 30 - 35% compared to US of about 70 -80 % and average of 60% in the EU. Something they have been Looking to change but won't do or hasn't happened for whatsoever reason. Reasons they doubled down ont d export model.

Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by Kingsnairaland(m):
Let see more explanation of how the ruling class wants to shape the world so as to rule by proxy though it failing in Ukraine

This lady dated top planners for America and she made this statement 1974

Here is a revelation from a lady about what she found out from those planing the strategies before the world woke up from sleep

Check if her predictions is turning out just as she said in 1974

Below are her words :::

I met the late
Dr. Wernher von Braun in early 1974.
At that time, von Braun died of cancer, but he assured me that he would live a few more years in order to tell me about the game that was being played, that game being the effort to weaponize space.

The way he said it to me, there was no doubt, no doubt in my mind, that he knew something that he was too afraid to talk about.

The strategy that Wernher von Braun taught me was that first the Russians are going to be considered to be the enemy.
In fact, when I met him in around 1974, they were the enemy, the identified enemy.

Then terrorists would be identified, and that was soon to follow. We heard a lot about terrorism.
Then we were going to identify third world country crazies. We now call them nations of concern. ...like North Korea, Iran, Libya etc

And the next enemy was asteroids.
Now at this point, he kind of chuckled the first time he said it. Asteroids, against asteroids and UFOs we're going to build space-based weapons.

And the funniest one of all was against what he called aliens, extraterrestrials.
That would be the final card.
And over and over and over, during the four years that I knew him and was giving his speeches for him, he would bring up that last card and remember, Carol, the last card is the alien card.

We're going to have to build space-based weapons against aliens. And all of it, he said, is a lie. A lie.

Lol it doesn't work like that, first of most security guys keep off giving vital info on social media plus there are more secure apps with high encryption online for communication also most of the data collected has to do with behavioral lifestyle which can be use for social engineering, sales and marketing, political and alot more.
That isn't what am saying.
Security guys keep off giving off vital info. I agree with you.
What I said is that all those data (those ones that are deemed not vital) are pointers to the one that is vital. It isn't so direct as you are putting it. Otherwise, why would a social media platform need a data analyst?
Secondly, that there are social media with high encryption is the biggest scam of the century. Those people who created the app itself know how to do it. Nigeria's athlete, Blessing Okagbare's escapades with the use of stimulants was revealed through her WhatsApp chats. Remember her chats her private and even security men can't request for it from her, she reserves the right to privacy. But still, they got it. How? Is her chat not end to end encrypted? They only state those things just to be on the positive side of the law, they don't do it. Nobody does.
Lastly, that the collected personal info are used for sales, marketing and all is like you only looking at the business part of it. Security is the most paramount thing for any nation. It is second to none. While what you said is correct to a certain extent, you are ignoring the most important part of it.
Why do you think it is easy for the security men to pick up anyone whenever they really want such person? It ain't just for sales and marketing, that is the biggest lie they want you to believe. They will hand over anybody's data to security forces whenever it is demanded.

I saw this after my initial reply.
Well, I beg to differ. I believe it is more of national security than economic war.
Let's look at it this way. Tiktok has been banned in some American states. The ban only applies to certain government employees and not the general populace. If it ain't about security, I don't see how that is about economic war. I think it is in 2025 that the ban is coming to apply to the whole.

🇹🇷🇸🇾⚡️- The opposition-led National Transitional Government of Syria met with delegates from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and presented three conditions to them:

1) Severing all ties with the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)
2) Disarming all weapons and transferring them to the Syrian transitional government
3) Expelling all non-Syrian leaders of the SDF from Syria

These demands are very clearly in the interest of Turkey, displaying what Syria's future geopolitical alignment will be.
