Are saying you bought one full goat and one full chicken at a total cost of 65,000? If that is true, then it's quite ok, considering the level of inflation in the country now. One full goat is currently about 120,000, and chicken about 25,000 in most places.
|

PRINCESSFCFANSs:..it's the high costs of fuel causing the high costs of foodstuffs..due to the removal of fuel subsidy...the high costs of transportation... the high costs of transportating this foodstuffs to the market for sale is the cause of the high costs of food stuffs..let the government reduce the price of fuel to like 200 naira to a litre and you will see that prices of foodstuffs will reduce and come down |

But ppl were cooking and doing party in my area naa! How on earth Nigerians would wait for Christmas or holidays to waste their money still baffles me! Parties in Nigeria at least in 2012-15 used to have more food varieties and it's always surplus. I think we need to first live within our means and then be considerate to one another. The leaders who we know are selfish and greedy are fueling division hate and dissent through capitalism but we can unite against these if we don't emulate their greed |

I read to the end and found the prices shocking. If chicken can cost 28K, then how much for an actual meal? This means the belief that one's $ or £ would go a long way is defeating because prices have shot up by more than 500% most or 1000% in some cases. This means for an extroverted IJGB to really "enjoy" Nigeria, hold like $10K. Jokes aside, if chicken is that costly, how do people survive? Have salaries ballooned alongside prices of goods and services? |

vanbonattel:Let's blame you for thinking it's the people that need to be blamed... Do you care to know what it cost them to raise the chicken, goats and the likes? Their feeds, their vaccine... |

JustPowerApps:That guy only knows like 40% of the economic principles he claims to know. Even the whites that brought democracy to Africa previously tried other forms of government before they settled for democracy. As for him (bulaba), he is just doing copy and paste with the lame thought that 'what is good for the goose is good for the gender'. Leaving the market 100% to control itself without intentional effort to do your own part which entail provision of infrastructural facilities to aid private investors, is just a sure recipe for economic failure. (That's why i always give kudos to the current Abia state government on what they are doing. They sure are on the right path.) Everybody asides the self-made presido aka bulaba knows this. Pathetic! |
