Several Residents Killed As Airstrike Targeting Lakurawa Hits Sokoto Communities by Dapromzy333(op): 6:56pm On Dec 25, 2024

A fighter jet targeting terrorists in Lakurawa mistakenly bombed two peaceful communities in Silame Local Government Area of Sokoto State on Wednesday morning, leaving many feared dead and several others injured, News360 Nigeria reports.

The affected villages, Gidan Sama and Rumtuwa, were hit around 7 am, according to local accounts.

The chairman of Silame LGA, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Daftarana, described the incident as devastating, stating that the victims were innocent residents.

“The villagers were sitting peacefully when the bombs started dropping on the communities. They were innocent and peace-loving people who had no any criminal record.

It is early for me to confirm the number of people either killed or injured because we are still assessing the development,” Daftarana said.

It’s so unfortunate this incident occurred and we realize the military continually reigns fire down in the north.

They they hide and use civilians as human shield.
If military intelligence shows Terrorists are living alongside civilians in a camp or community, is the military going to go and be asking who is a civilian and who is a terrorist?
Order has been given for Military attack, go and get the job done and neutralize the terrorists.

Best not believe whatever you read in the news especially when it's about military operations against bandits and terrorists in the North.

The Northerners have always been sympathetic to the terrorists in those bushes.

They are considered Muslim brothers in arms.

Same way when Boko hatam started, it was alleged that the security agents were neutralising innocent people until it became a multi headed Hydra. Thorough investigation should be done to ascertain the innocence of the people killed as well as the precision of the coordinates and air strike.
