The government is committed to ensuring that the price of petrol is affordable for all Nigerians, and we will work together with the Dangote Refinery to achieve this goal.

The forces that ensured our refineries do not work are still the forces causing all these problems. We need a hard reset as a nation because these criminals will ensure Nigeria does not work.

NNPC is not the problem, the problem is the politicians meddling in NNPC affairs. NTPC should be a different business entity on it own, with the way things are now, there is no way fuel won't rise beyond 1000 pump price.
boxypane:
The day NNPC is dissolved or sold, we go get respite.

I'm just thinking that protest without a date is brewing, where even the well to do will not care about what to lose but to scream for freedom from these bottomless thieving leaders we have.

Dangote said NEC can/will determine its prices only for nnpc to play ostrich and say price of fuel is determined by market forces. Meanwhile they are all fighting for money and wasting our time.

By what is happening right now, it is on no doubt that some element in this country has not only be able to steal for there needs, but also to steal and destroy what they don't need. .
How can a full human being just feel like trying to play mind games with Millions of people in this country.
If NNPC are not ready to do their work. Is better they desolve this NNPC and put all of the MD there in prison.
That means you don't understand the terrain you are. The problem is not NNPC but the president and his team. Who controls the NNPC?? Who is the Minister of petroleum? Who approves the outcome of whatever thing NNPC is doing?
For instance, when NNPC readjusted the price few days ago, Nigerians was shocked and Shetima was busy fooling themselves not us; by calling an emergency meeting... only for your president in China to make a statement that the increased price is 'inevitable '.......
Our political leaders lead by APC are just inhuman.

A reasonable president will dissolve the nnpc.. it is either NNPC dies so that Nigeria can live or Nigeria goes extinct for NNPC to be acting foolish continuously.

The two can't survive together.

What a country..

So just like that

Dangote refinery never solved anything

It won’t make petrol cheap

The only benefit would be more forex since NNPC won’t need to import petrol again from abroad

So in essence instead of dangote shamefully selling his price of PMS per litre at a price that he knows people would criticise him for

He simply sells it to NNPC and tells NNPC to determine the price

NNPC too moves under the canopy of forex , which is not a sound argument as the crude oil and everything dangote needed to refine the oil was paid for in naira

Like this people just went round in a circle

All
The subsidy that was stopped is now being paid only to DANGOTE

Like dangote just got 200 million percent richer

And Nigerians still in misery

Dangote simply took hold of whole country natural resources and simply done business with it

What a shame

I said that video earlier made about them lifting fuel was a sham.
I bought 1350 today and the fuel was not the clear color one advertised.

There was no lifting and there will never be any lifting of PMS.
NNPC just wants to continue imports to the detriment of the economy.

who tied the government or other billionaires' hands from building refineries?
If government makes dollar N800 fuel will be around 500 or 600 instead they're acting helpless while drinking champagne and buying suv

it is brewing, with the way this man is ruling senseless without any sense of direction I won't be surprised to start seeing "tinubu must go "protest placards and riots soon. it won't even be about the cost of living but that the man should go. if Buhari was useless, this one is even totally irredeemably useless . at least Buhari used to think back or reverse some senseless policies, this one na one-way traffic

Why is this administration hell-bent on completely removing fuel subsidy? All indicators are suggestive that, all the drama about fuel pricing between the NNPC and DR is simply a strategy to avert any backlash that may occur when the citizens eventually get to figure out their intentions. This is very unfair and insensitive. Has the citizens not suffered enough ? We deserve some a breath of a fresh air.

Some analysts, who are also experienced in the petroleum industry, have done their research and projected N750/L as the possible and ideal price of gasoline from DRC. They also forcasted that adding other associated costs, fuel should be generally sold at about N897/L. Now, why is the government covertly trying to make Nigerians buy this product at this rate without any other consideration for its rebound effect on inflation and the people who are at the receiving end.
We understand the FG has spent hugely on subsidy, haven kept the price of fuel around N600/L. I feel the new approach should not be a complete withdrawal but a marginal reduction by at leat 50 to75%, so that at the end of the day, fuel price would arrive at about N700/L to N750/L. At these rate, they would be confident enough to explain to Nigerians for taking such a crucial decision without raising any dust.

Tinubu the "first class fake graduate of Accountancy", the builder of the Lagoon aka City boy aka bobo who tamed the Atlantic ocean cum economic guru.

Tinubu was never educated in the real sense of it. An illiterate will not destroy the country the way "educated & sophisticated" people have done & are currently doing

Tinubu failed just like his darling daddy. See how the whole country is confused & disorientated
