IgboSomalia:
See this one. Aketi was already a qualified lawyer when Betty tied him down with pregnancy. Betty was older than him with nothing to show for her existence.

Betty's only achievement in life was being Aketi's wife. She has nothing else.

Aketi would have loved longer and achieved more if he didn't fall into the clutches of this ugly devil.
indeed, you are a kid.

Betty and Akeredolu met in Enugu when the latter was doing his NYSC. It was there the marriage was consummated and put final seal. Even though Betty was older by Three years.

Akeredolu said age doesn't matter. That age is in the mind.

Ever since then, Akeredolu was on the rise in his profession. No going back.

So,how is Betty being albatross in the marriage that she is being vilified?

Bring that your friend.
I'm happy he is from Orlu, you know why? I'm from Orlu, grew up in Orlu, went to school in Orlu too. My maternal home is from another end of Orlu, so I know the Orlu culture inside out.

There is no place in Orlu where the first son takes everything. Has he got the right to choose first, or take the juiciest? Yes! But take everything? No!

I'm waiting for you, don't run! Go and bring that your "my mama say I be igbo" friend from Orlu. Let him come and educate us here. Una anti igbo propaganda too much ahbegi
So what if the father own just a house or just a land then what happens cos that was my question to my friend.

Infact he told me father house belongs to the first son where he comes....if this is true then what are you arguing about??
You even said he can choose first or take the juiciest.

What is Igbophobia in saying Igbos shave the heads of widows?
Don't they shave the heads of your mothers, you dumb hypocrite?

Imagine the wife of a former Yoruba Governor insulting Igbos, your entire tribe with your Ohaneze would have been crying. Was it not a twitter quit notice that made you all run mad the other day?

Betty can insult Yorubas, you see nothing wrong in that. You are not a sensible person.
Point of correction, I'm not Igbo any bit and if I'm one, I cannot reject or denounce my roots.
Your senseless post portrays you as a tribal bigot, which the rule of this platform abhors. But nobody will sanction you because of the tribalistic tendencies of the mods and members of the board.

A learned and sensible fellow addresses issues as they are and not by tribal innuendo at all times. I dislike the social media post of Betty and was about making a post criticizing this act, before my attention was caught by your senseless post. Her husband is dead, and this the time to make peace with everyone and move on. We all saw what happened, she felt otherwise that her husband was not given the right honor before and after death because of the eagerness to grab power by the current governor. Women think differently. Sometimes you got to ignore so many things to maintain inner peace and equanimity of the mind. You failed to realize that the husband she's protecting today is a Yoruba man, your brother and uncle. My grouse with her is the manner she's taking it too far.

In Igboland where she comes from, is that how Igbo widows insult their husband's people?

Imagine a yoruba woman being the wife of an ex governor in the east nagging like this....

I can bet anything that the Igbos will put her in her place...
And remind her where she's from.

He sure me 🤣

Come to think of it...

Why do people hate yorubas...not only Igbos oo....even pple from SS and some from the North

Well, if you hate yorubas just cos tinubu who's a yoruba man is in power then you are wrong ooo

Ondo State Govt should invite Akeredolu’s willing relatives and leave Aunty Betty to her usual Tantrums

People should try to know what happened between both of them first.

It's not good to be judging from distance while you haven't heard from both of them.

And stop making it look as if is a tribal thing. Her late husband knew her and where she is from very well before decided to marry her.

It's only a fool, outdated educated illiterate, religious and tribal bigots that are still relying on tribe and religion to make a judgement nowadays. The world has advanced beyond this primitive thinking. Change your thoughts
You're a rare gem. I feel honoured and relieved by your comments. The world has gone so perverse and conscienceless to such a level where many do not consciously bother to consider all angles to any issue before passing judgements, forming opinions or drawing conclusions. It's a sign of a people who have lost moral values and critical reasoning.

Has anybody asked why "she's so pained"? Have they forgotten that she knew everything that panned out before, during and after Aketi's travails? Do they really know the root causes of their hostilities?

Nobody is saying she should not " move on ", however she does deserve to be heard out when she ventilates her anger. Simple.

The best any reasonable person can or should do, in this circumstance, is to stand on the fence and let posterity judge all concerned.

Can you swear with the life of your children both born and unborn that those elected in your state has the best character among the contestants.

Im frm Ondo, this woman is an example of a bad Igbo wife. Her character was terrible8, she didnt represent the ibos well. During the election, the elders were saying that any governorship candidate with igbon wife should not be voted and never again will Ondo state have a Governor with igbo wife.

Yes you can, when you are focus and tolerate pettiness. Akeredolu was a consummate lawyer. He was already a lawyer on a service year in Imo when he met Betty. Betty don't have much contribution to his rise. Akeredolu was one of the major lawyers of ACN. Akeredolu might have just tolerated the woman all along.
They met as youth corpers at enugu at a friend's house..

Don't just type for the sake of typing.

She may have some attitude problems but she helped her husband to reach the lofty heights he attained.

They built together!

A bad wife can't build with her husband!

The greatest mistake of the late governor was to marry this ugly, embittered soul from the land of primitive, forest-dwelling ancestors! Betty is so petty and uncivilized.....shior! The Akeredolu family should not allow this crazy woman to create problems for Aketi's children. The family Head should not fold his arms and watch this village Mgbeke destroying the future of Aketi's children with her primitive attitude.

Yes! The Fathers family house belongs to the first son
after his demise. That doesn't mean that the other sons will be chased away if they're not rich enough to build their own houses. If you choose to be so poor you can't build your own house, no one chases you away from your fathers house.

Every cultural practice is dictated by the need of that certain environment. You should stop trying to belittle others cultural values when you have fsr.more dangerous practices like skull mining! You can now start to see some of the reason why the igbos make it a must to build their own houses and how that has helped to reshape the igbo landscape.

First son being the first to take stuffs? Is that different from your area? So in your area, the last born takes his share before the first born and the first born should take the worst part of the "loot"? Are you sure you're african? So how come Kola Abiola hyjacked the whole Abiolas properties and basically left his ypunger brothers in the cold without nothing?
