Is Asake Falling Out With Olamide’s YBNL? by nairafame(op): 1:27pm On Dec 26, 2024
The music world is buzzing with rumors that there's serious tension brewing between Asake and Olamide, and it seems the two may no longer be on the best of terms. Could this be the end of one of the most talked-about partnerships in Nigerian music? Let’s dive into what’s been happening and why fans are speculating that things are not so sweet between the YBNL boss and his protégé.

1. Asake’s Social Media Silence: A Cryptic Move?
First, it all started with Asake’s sudden decision to unfollow everyone on his social media pages. Now, we know celebrities love to make statements online, but this felt like more than just a random cleanse. In a world where every like, follow, and post is scrutinized, Asake’s move raised eyebrows. Is he cutting ties with certain people? Or is it just a sign of him wanting some space from the noise of the industry? One thing’s for sure: he’s definitely sending a message.

2. Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ Album Drama: No YBNL Tag?
When Asake dropped his much-anticipated album Lungu Boy, fans couldn’t help but notice the glaring absence of YBNL’s branding. Not only did Asake fail to tag Olamide’s label, but YBNL wasn’t even mentioned in the credits or visible on the cover art on platforms like Spotify. That’s cold. Asake’s new sound and artistic direction seemed to be distancing himself from the label that helped launch his career.
But just a few days later, something strange happened. Asake went ahead and tagged YBNL on his tracks and included the label’s logo on the album art. This quick turnaround only added fuel to the fire, sparking more questions. Was this a calculated move to patch things up, or an effort to play it safe while keeping things under wraps? Whatever it was, it’s got people talking, and many believe there’s more to this story than we’re seeing.

3. Olamide’s Concert – Asake’s Absence Speaks Volumes
Just a few days ago, Olamide held a star-studded live concert in Lagos that saw performances from both current and former YBNL artists. From the likes of Fireboy DML, Lil Kesh, and even Phyno, the event seemed to be a celebration of everything Olamide’s label has achieved. But guess who was missing? None other than Asake. That’s right, the same artist who was once the shining star of YBNL chose not to show up.
For fans who have been following the YBNL journey, this was the final straw. Asake’s absence at Olamide’s concert is being seen as a clear sign that the relationship between the two is anything but smooth. Is this the fallout we’ve all been waiting for? Are we witnessing the unraveling of a partnership that once looked unbreakable?

4. The Bigger Picture: Creative Differences or Personal Issues?
While no one truly knows what’s going on behind closed doors, it’s hard to ignore the fact that the dynamics between Asake and Olamide seem to have changed. Could it be that Asake is ready to spread his wings and leave YBNL behind to explore new ventures and creative freedom? Or is there more going on – perhaps a disagreement over how his career is being managed, or even personal tensions that have finally bubbled to the surface?
It’s clear that Asake is a star in his own right, but we all know that Olamide played a huge part in launching his career. So, if there is trouble between them, it’s not just about business. It’s about loyalty, trust, and respect. And it seems like something has shifted in their relationship.

Is This the End of the Road?
With all these signs pointing to some serious discord, the question remains: Is this the end of the road for Asake and Olamide’s partnership? Will Asake continue to rise solo, or will he eventually reconcile with the man who gave him his big break? One thing’s for sure – this drama is just getting started, and we’re all here for it.

Keep an eye on the socials, because if Asake and Olamide aren’t talking now, we wouldn’t be surprised if they have a lot more to say in the coming weeks. Stay tuned, because in the world of music, you never know what’s going to happen next!]

Whatever the case is, it is not a national disaster.

Also, neither Olamide no Asake has complained to the public. But the media is so addicted to nuisance.

His absence may have been talked about and his contract may have expired and yet to renew it or don't want to ..
Olamide does not enslave and he's not the first artist to come and leave YBNL and he will never be the last . Olamide is the most respected Nigeria Artist on the street before Asake comes into YBNL and this can never stop the respect he's earning from everyone..
Olamide continues in his pursuit to be impactful in the life of every upcoming artist that crosses his path ...

Everything in life is temporal. So, I am not surprised.

Why do people create news from nothing?

We have more important issues
