The shoot-down theory has its merits.
1. Russia has deployed a new class of Air Defense systems for anti-drone warfare. These systems have smaller warheads that explode in proximity to their targets. When they explode, they release shrapnel.
2. The inward-piercing holes at the rear of the jet are consistent with shrapnel impact.
3. It is speculated that the shrapnels damaged hydraulics and electricals at the rear of the jet that made controlling the jet difficult.

There are lots of questions, which is why every normal person is waiting for an investigation. The jet flew for several more minutes after the accident. They couldn't return to Baku so the pilots made inquiries for any airport close by to make an emergency crash landing. They opted to cross the Caspian Sea to land at a Kazakh airport. And were about a few kilometers out when the crash occurred.

The pilots are heroes.

The rear of the jet is mostly intact, so there'll be definitive conclusion if indeed it was impacted by a Russian system.

Which is exactly why I harped about waiting for the conclusion of an investigation.

The initial account from the Russians and Kazakhs appeared consistent with the video of the crash.
And I rely on official accounts because TG channels, some Western media, and even Reuters and flight trackers suggested that the plane carrying Assad was shot down in Syria and that he likely died. That turned out to be false.
With the Azeris categorically saying there was SAM impact, it put the onus on the Russians specifically to offer contrarian evidence.
The odds of that are miniscule and that's why I'm accepting the Azeri account as pro tempore fact.

If you are, I empathize with your clients.
How are you incapable of properly outlining a version of events and cross-match the axioms with available facts?

1. There was no Russia between 1940 and 1983. It was the Soviet Union.

2. Western countries blamed the 2014 shootdown to pro-Russian rebels and not Russia.

3. There is no verifiable source proving Russia shot down this Kazakhstan plane. All claims have been from some so-called "sources."
