We eat half bag of rice per month in my family, like once a day. It is not even enough. So, if you don't it once, it is still going to add up at the end of the month if you buy it bit by bit. So, what is your argument
So na person wey dey earn minimum wage be the bread winner of the house?

Citizens can respond to government laxity at the ballot. Instead of receiving bribes and handouts on election day, they should learn from the recent US presidential elections, where unemployment and the high cost of living made Kamala Harris lose to the opposition Donald Trump

This is golden but the majority will not change, even the in house reformed fools here will still find a way to justify the nonsense we have in town.

Do you have brain at all,we are talking of a government that will priotise the welfare and well-being of the people including you ,you are talking of tribe or individual
When you have seen first hand, that your tribes man and messiah has been a monumental disaster, you should be ashamed of still pandering to ethnic sentiments except, you are not well read

Honestly, there's rarely been a time in this country's history where Nigerians were queuing and dying because of rice... The effects of the economic policies are just too much and there are too little measures put in place to help people cope.

Minimum wage = 70k.
Half bag of rice🌾 = 50k
5 litres of vegetable oil = 25k, salary don finish! No other food item, transport, clothing, rent, bills, protein, gas added ooo...

Meanwhile the president in his last interview was still saying he doesn't believe in price control, so no plan to reduce cost of food, so people still cannot survive on the new minimum wage.

Tinubu must do better and not focus on his own power agenda. Nigeria seems like a lawless country, but I know God has his way of judging those in the political sector. Where your political influence ends is where God's judgment begins...

I hope Bola Tinubu and the APC take note. If Nigerians continue to groan, God will strike.
God won't judge or strike anybody, we the masses are our own enemy, only we the masses can strike and judge them...The solution to our problem is unity and we can never unite as long as religion and tribalism still lives within....For now all man for himself....

The era of borrowing money to flex has ended, no need to continue gnashing over that. While you are crying over tinubu policies, majority are doing well for themselves.
Tinubu has taken 10 loans in 18 months. So, borrowing for flexing has stopped. It's now borrowing for looting.

Ethnicity is the major problem of this country.
Our diversity has ruined the growth of this Nation... DIVIDE THIS DAMN CONTRAPTION.

PUNCH Newspaper located at Magboro by Lagos Ibadan expressway opposite Arepo in Ogun State had a traumatic yuletide but the events at Ojodu, Olowora, Isheri, Arepo, Magboro, Ibafo and Mowe is that of Celebrations. Justrite Supermarket at Ojodu (Berger) and IBAFO had the wildest and largest patronage they have never had since they were established. It got to a level, customers were prevented from entering because no space inside and the cashiers have been overwhelmed by crowded customers awaiting their turn to pay and move out.

The same thing happened at Wisebuyers, Supershoppy, Buyright and every other Malls at Olowora, Isheri, Arepo, Magboro and IBAFO. Mowe was also very ecstasy.

Though I never liked PUNCH. I stopped reading Punch some years ago because of Bimbola Adelakun articles. I never liked PUNCH Newspaper but being on the Lagos Ibadan expressway around Kara Isheri, I had expected them to do a deep political and economic analysis of silent economic reengineering witnessed during the last Eid Al Mubarak (Ileya Festival) and the Ojude Oba festival of IjebuOde but they looked the other way round. Somebody said PUNCH Newspaper painted a gloomy picture of the Muslim festival weeks and days to the festival but after the festival they forgot to inform Nigerians that within their vicinity at Kara Isheri magic happened. In the history of Kara Isheri for decades, they have never received large consignment of Cows and Rams as they received for 2024 celebration and at very high price but they sold about 96% of those cows and Rams, the biggest sales ever till date. Ojude Oba 2024 is also the best till date.

The economy is changing its dynamics. If PUNCH had a traumatic yuletide, other institutions and individuals have the best celebrations till date. The sales volume achieved by major Shopping Malls in 2024 far exceeded any previous years. In fact, all the Malls were overwhelmed by crowded customers with money to procure items. This has never happened before.

You are just irredeemable.

Just look at your jaundiced reasoning.

You are happy and proud to say that under Tinubu's government, which you support, a minimum wage earner has no right to a half bag of rice and one gallon of vegetable oil.

Truly, it has been said and proven that Tinubu's urchins, BATerians, and paid agents are the most unreasonable and senseless set of Homo sapiens to have ever emerged on the surface of the Earth.
Homo sapiens are modern men rather they are homo eretus(stone age humans)

70k is supposed to be the basic salary not take home package

Also, when a bag of rice was 7k, how many people bought it?

I try to live within my means to the glory of God. That's all that matters.

Nigerians hardly depend on their salary alone

Minimum wage this, minimum wage that. Nonsense!

You try to live within your means, so how much do you spend on food? Alabosi 😒

They're saying A, you're saying B. How many Nigerians have a 2nd job when we basically run a 12 hour economy?

I'm thankful for what I earn, I don't even depend on the Nigerian economy in the first place, but never in the history of this country have people been dying in the North, East and West during the yuletide season because of food...

Some of una no just get conscience at all!
