A traditional SAM will not always destroy. It depends on the size of the warhead, explosive force, proximity of impact, and the particular plane part being hit by the shrapnel.
Even those link you posted shows that civilians airlines where not destroyed immediately or downed at the area of attack, but still continued for some few kilometers.
The total destruction noted here is not from the direct impact of the SAM system but the ground crash.
Direct impact can also cause an engine fire, breaking of the fuselage and pilot death. But all this depends on the various factors outlined earlier.
So doesn't always base your theory that a SAM attack would most likely destroy the target, as we've also seen numerous incidents of planes surviving multiple direct SAM attacks.

I think maybe they expected instant crash and point destruction. But most times airdefense doesn't work that way, what they does is to veer the target off course causing a crash.

Only through share luck you can have a sudden impact destruction, like hitting the fuel section helping in the destruction.

I'm not sure what links you read, but they clearly showed that all passengers and crews died and neither plane traveled intact for a distance equivalent to the width of the Caspian Sea.

Look at the sheer number of accidents caused by traditional SAMS where no one survived.

You don't argue about everything.

The only reason why the Azeri plane was able to traverse the Caspian Sea after impact is that the Russians had been using a system optimized to take down drones. Traditional air defense SAMs are designed to take down aircraft as large as transporters and refuelers like the C-130 Hercules. The Embraer 191 would have stood no chance.

Since you guys are treating passenger testimony as gospel:
BBC is reporting that a surviving passenger confirmed that the Azeri flight did successfully complete its journey from Baku to Grozny.
The pilots attempted to land the plane twice at the Grozny airport. But apparently they were unsuccessful because of fog.
The accident occurred during their third attempt to land.

The black box was handed over to the EU or one of its puppet states. Till today, the EU and its puppet state have refused to tell us what they found in the black box. Instead, they have been hiding the reports.

If Russia did it, we all know they will show us the reports. But since it was Ukraine, they are hiding it. It is the same with this one too. Mention names, not sources.
