You clearly don't understand the signpost. The contractor is: Oriba Global Services Ltd |

| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by RealLordZeus(op): 5:18pm On Dec 27, 2024 |
Richtaiwo:That's why I am here FYI.. the picture was taken in front of Tokio Mosque, Olomi, Oyo state where the streetlights were installed A contractor with office in Lugbe, Abuja executing a project in Olomi, Ibadan, Oyo state I'm not even bothered abt the contractor.. Why will streetlight be in the portfolio of a research Institute that is nowhere near the Institute |
| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by Richtaiwo(m): 5:20pm On Dec 27, 2024 |
RealLordZeus:Where do you think the Institute itself is located? Google is at your disposal, use it. Also, research the meaning of cooperate social responsibility. The contractor office can be anywhere all over the world. Where is the headquarters of Julius Berger? |
| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by RealLordZeus(op): 5:22pm On Dec 27, 2024 |
Richtaiwo:Oga, you are talking with a local.. your defense is not plausible |

Richtaiwo:NIHORT is at Idi Ishin Jericho, Ibadan Northwest LG while the site of installation is Olomi, Oluyole LG Richtaiwo:CSR per my own understanding is for revenue generating organisation while Nihort is govt funded with all expenses captured in the Federal Budget Richtaiwo:Your point here is accepted but like I stated before it's not about the contractor, but the client and portfolio |

RealLordZeus:"Your defense is not plausible" for someone who's insinuating that he came here for clarity, are you posting for clarity or you did it for àttàck? If you want to attack, why don't you tackle both the client and the contractor in their offices, work site or social media handle? |
| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by RealLordZeus(op): 5:51pm On Dec 27, 2024 |
JagabanBorgu:I will not question your intellect regarding how you termed my statement as an insult or attack |
| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by JagabanBorgu: 5:58pm On Dec 27, 2024 |
RealLordZeus:You can't possibly question intellect when ur intellect actually brought the word "insult" into this conversation. |

Google the meaning of "corporate social responsibility" and you will have your answer. I remember way back when GTbank and Zenith Bank installed beautiful traffic lights in the city where I lived, even though the traffic lights collapsed in less than a year Lol. If you have asked why these solar street lights were installed in that area of all places? That will be more understandable. |

RealLordZeus:National Horticultural Research Institute contracted Oriba Global Services Ltd to provide streetlights at that location. The research institute may have received a grant for this, or this is part of their CDS or CSR (e.g. “we commit 5% of research funding received to providing streetlights for communities”) Generally, this type of signpost serves multiple purposes: for example, It shows authorities or interested parties who to contact if needed (e.g environmental agencies). Also it could serve as publicity or marketing signpost. Example If you’re a potential client and like the project they’re doing, you can take their information to see if you want to contact them, or you may donate to them if they’re a nonprofit. |

RealLordZeus:The other day, Tinubu said his friend who used to have 5 Rolls Royces now drives a Honda instead. But it seems his goal is merely to deprive one set of friends while corruptly enabling a different set of friends from the Nigerian coffers. 🙄 2024 is almost over and I still don't know what the people are still waiting for. 🤔 |
| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by RealLordZeus(op): 7:13pm On Dec 27, 2024 |
givedemwotowoto:I stand to be corrected but I highly doubt this, an Horticultural research Institute receiving grants to provide streetlights... e get as e be for my brain givedemwotowoto:Like I replied the other guy, I may accept this if the project is not captured on the Institute budget funded by the FG .. Because such scenario has been exposed before. Thanks for the info on the signpost although the part bothering me is the above and not the signpost itself |

| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by givedemwotowoto: 7:41pm On Dec 27, 2024 |
RealLordZeus:Just to clarify, I provided general information for better understanding since that was your question. So the "grant" thing could mean "government allocation". |

When you hear they spend billions installing streetlights, these are the streetlights. Poorly planned, installed nonsense that will stop working after three months and left to rot away without maintenance. These are how projects are executed in Nigeria, below average projects gulping billions of naira, that's if the project is even completed after the funds had been shared by these thieves called politicians |

JagabanBorgu:CSR for a govt. funding agency? Why are you tackling the guy blindly? |
| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by owagbeba: 2:29am On Dec 28, 2024 |
Richtaiwo:Contractor is working for the client The client is the iHorticultural Institute The question: Why is the National Horticultural institute installing street light on a state street far from the borders of the institute |
| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by RealLordZeus(op): 8:17am On Dec 28, 2024 |
Majesty7:What I've been saying too .. its like asking a pauper to give alms.. Research Institute are not revenue generating organisation.. even in developed countries, they are heavily funded. CSR on their part just don't make sense |
| Re: Can Someone Explain This Picture by RealLordZeus(op): 8:17am On Dec 28, 2024 |

Majesty7:If you are not daft, you will realize that I'm asking him if actually came for clarification or attack, he should specify what he came for if he's telling someone else that his defense is not plausible. U are tackling me blindly and accusing me of tackling someone else blindly. U Iots are really pathetic, projecting yourself on others. |
