His account of the event suggests that he managed to link his website to his bank accounts,
for what purpose I don't know.
This would imply that VDM himself is a very skilled hacker that managed to bypass the bank
security to open access to his bank via a third-party website, a feature that
the bank does not and will not support even if requested.

The most likely scenario if he isn't lying is that he was tricked into giving up his banking details
and OTP to some phishers and he didn't want to be seen as gullible, so he invented the "hack".

VDM Has much explanations to make

It's the fools that donated I blame. Anyway he has cashed out. Keep donating to him let him chop all ur money

I knew the day Don Jazzy gave VDM 100 million naira for his NGO that jealousy and Envy against him will increase a thousand fold just as he has equally gained a lot of supporters daily for his Charity work.

VDM do mess up many times but I still believe he is a genuinely sincere person who needs to still be mentored by matured and discreet persons.

I say again that the Bank holding the NGO Account (Zenith )If I am right must issue a public statement concerning this matter.The Reputation of such bank is at risk.

The Police and EFCC must get to the root of this.

When I first saw it I didn't bother about the acclaimed hack because VDM is a national troll. But I don't understand what website was hacked ? and How did he lose money? Them think say everybody na odeh

VDM is not very knowledgeable about bank transactions and how bank transactions work.I noticed that with the Access bank case.

I don't blame him ,you will be very surprised the kind of questions the average Nigerian will ask you in respect to banking .And how careless they also are about bank Especially alternate channels.

You will be onboarding a customer on alternate channels and they will be disclosing their personal pins and passwords like people that are high on rum.

How did you jump to VDM is right if you are asking us to approach this situation with skepticism and balance? So you aren't taking your own advice?

Unless access to his account was coded into the website, simply hacking it would not have allowed money to be taken from the account. And nobody security conscious would do such a thing as code access to a bank account on a website open to the public.

If his account was hacked it was not through his website.

Even if it was diverted to crypto, it can still be traced. The Naira must have been exchanged through an exchanger.

I doubt his claim that the bank account was hacked through the website.

NGO accounts are corporate accounts. You need either a hardware token or soft token to transact on corporate accounts.

So first of all... What was hacked? NGO website or Bank account...

If its NGO website like he claimed... It's a lie!

If it's the NGO's corporate account.. Then he has to explain how the hackers got the OTP to transfer dujds out of the account

It's completely impossible except spoofing and that will require him to submit his complete bank details to a fake link posing as his bank to steal the details he submits. This has nothing to do with hacking his website as it's not even necessary. One fake bank email alert or notification requesting for an upgrade or anything intelligent that will require his complete banking information. VDM na liar, him no ask questions before throwing the lamba, them no explain to am how it works

No need for questioning since he has claimed that one suspect is now in custody. If the suspect admit, all the questions can be directed to him

Most of the people doubting vdm didn't contribute kobo so what's their business? That account was link to website for transparency sake and any website can be hack. It's zenith Bank account how secure is zenith Bank account talk more of an account linked to website? Thank God they already arrested one of them so 50% chance of getting it back.

Nobody stores money on any website. Customer's deposits are warehoused in current or savings accounts within the banking system.

A website only has account number and details to receive funds. How did they hack the bank account through the website?

It's confusing to me because it's not a decentralized wallet.

If he said his bank app was hacked, that would have been a better angle but saying NGO account was hacked is what I don't understand.
