| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 12:32pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
semid4lyfe:social media creates very weird bubbles and spreads a false narrative if you are locked into it there was a day raum was saying a lot of nigerian students have iphones current and former students on this board countered this i remember a 100l level guy telling me that hushpuppy [before the fall] paid his driver 600k and i told him it is simply not possible. |

chidekings:Sorry to ask, but can you let me know if you’re an employee or an employer of labour? Also, could you share your estimated monthly wages? By the way, can you tell me how those 90% of people you think will see this money in their lifetime are actually going to earn it? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 12:49pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
diggz:also a possibility that they dont understand that being paid 80m to do a job does not MEAN you have 80m. you have what is left after you have executed the job. the only people that can get paid 80m up front in full are entertainers or tied in government contractors |

diggz:Sorry to ask, but are you sure everything is okay up there? Here’s the post you responded to above. Can you show me where I claimed that most people can’t earn 100k monthly? Please take another look at the post and let me know how it translates into me saying that people won’t or can’t make N100k monthly. Since you’re so invested in this conversation that you’ve started bringing up front-page topics from someone you don’t personally know, I’d like to ask you directly: Are you an employer, an employee, or self-employed person? Whatever you claim to be, can you please provide an estimated figure for your monthly earnings? I’d like to see something concrete. Don’t come back with no bricklayer or keke man story abeg you. Just drop your personal experience as an adult please. Melvyn11: |

nigeria allegedly has a population of 200 million people so somehow 20 million of these are pulling down $100k easy even yahoo boys cannot make those numbers. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Melvyn11: 1:09pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
diggz:You are asking irrelevant questions. I don't need to share any of my personal experience or earnings with you. I didn't ask for your personal earnings. I hate people that can't have a simple discussion without throwing insults or act condescending. You have used the the words "kids" "stupid" " now you are asking if I am mentally ok. Do you think calling anyone a kid or stupid is going to make your argument superior? Back to the discussion. "Inside your Uni mates wey Una finish together, how many don get job or hustle wey Dey give dem more than 100k a month?"" Tell us what you mean by this. Everyone could see you were insinuating seankafor friends won't be able to afford an hustle that pays at least 100k monthly. If it's a lie tell then explain what you mean by that statement. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Melvyn11: 1:10pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
diggz:This was you also laughing at the thought of Keke drivers making 100k in a month. Who are you trying to gaslight? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by diggz: 1:11pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
GloriousGbola:Exactly! I’m still trying to understand how they arrived at their conclusions in the first place. I’m mentioning specific employers, so we can all come up with a rough estimate of earnings based on levels, length of service, and so on. But these people are just talking rubbish about keke drivers and bricklayers. Abeg, Izzou, I need your help here because I know you’re in the transport industry. Could you please let us know the estimated weekly or monthly earnings after these people (keke riders or bolt/uber drivers) make after their weekly returns? I’m not talking about the defaulters, ooooo…. |

diggz:160m is big money to me and to everyone, but saying most won't see it in a lifetime is capping.. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by monerozi5590: 1:18pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
Poverty capital of the world . How many Nigerians d even see above 200k every month? Social media and cruise. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by monerozi5590: 1:20pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
chidekings:Yes, MOST Nigerians won't see it. Emphasis on most. Maybe you are among the 1 percent of Nigerians earning big. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chidekings(m): 1:20pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
diggz:also i have friends in many states of the federation, and this people are just average Nigerians who live average life and drive average cars, and they make good money and investments.that money is very big,but 90 percent is a big stretch |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Melvyn11: 1:23pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
GloriousGbola:The way you people just jump into a discussion to start capping . I asked this earlier question. Melvyn11:Digz replied both which means that over 90% of Nigerians cannot earn/spend 160million in their lifetime. Then I replied that 5million yearly spending over 30years gives 150million which is close to that amount so I don't agree with his assessment. I am certain you yourself have spent at least 4milllion in 2024. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by chidekings(m): 1:24pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
GloriousGbola:understand how this argument starts....do you what is a lifetime......all the days of their life that 90 percent won't have made a total of 160m for all the time they spent on earth. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Melvyn11: 1:24pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
monerozi5590:Bro give us an estimate of what you believed you have spent this year. Just a rough figure. I can bet that amount is more than 2million. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Melvyn11: 1:25pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
chidekings:Big premium capping. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by monerozi5590: 1:30pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
Melvyn11:Nah, I don't earn much. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Melvyn11: 1:32pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
monerozi5590:Ok if you don't mind give us a rough estimate of what you think you have spent in 2024. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by diggz: 1:34pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
Melvyn11:Point of correction: calling you a kid or stupid cannot be an insult if it’s the truth. If you think me posing that question to Sean is meant to ridicule or insult him and his friends, then you’re even dumber than I thought. I asked him that question because the best way to analyse a situation sometimes is to use one’s immediate environment or experience. If he is here talking about how people are making money, using his most recent environment—the university he graduated from—it’s not out of place for him to let us know how all his mates are now wealthy or on their way to hitting that N160 million, wouldn’t you agree? Like the famous phrase goes, "all hands are not equal’’. So, I know for a fact that all his mates aren’t progressing in life at the same rate and won’t achieve the same outcome when they exit this earth. I graduated years ago, and I can categorically tell you that more than 70% of my classmates have yet to see that money. By the time we exit this earth, over 90% will end up not seeing it. I asked you those pointed questions not because I was trying to be condescending or attack you in any way. I asked those questions because I’m curious to learn more about a person who thinks Keke riders who don’t own their own Keke are earning 100k per month after paying the owner. What that obviously tells me is that you’re full of sh1t and don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m sorry if my tone was a bit much and if I used words that you find offensive. However, if you must come to a public forum to challenge any position, you need to do so with evidence to support your claims—not with blind emotions that reflect your age and make you sound dumb. |

Melvyn11:Between 800/900k and most of this earnings na seasonal.. during harvest. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 1:44pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
Melvyn11:150 million over 30 years is 5 million per year divide 5 million by 12 and is roughly 400k per month now tell me how many nigerians earn 400k or more per month as salary or business earnings? where is your arithmetic coming from? how many jobs pay that much? how many jobs can afford to pay that much? first off , it is mainly corporate private sector and federal govt employment that can pay that. state governments that are dragging 80k minimum wage cannot. maybe 4 or 5 states in Nigeria support industries that can pay these wages . so where are your 180 million nigerians earning 400k per month coming from? |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by diggz: 1:47pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
chidekings:Thanks for being so generous to share that information with us. I have a follow-up question: can you please share the estimated figures for your highest-earning employee and your lowest-earning employee. P.S.: I have other questions to ask, but I’m aware that this discussion has gone on for a while, so I’m keeping my questions limited so we can wrap this up as quickly as possible. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by diggz: 2:01pm On Dec 28, 2024 |
GloriousGbola:Also, just to back up your point, anyone earning N400k and above as a federal government employee must have put in some years of service to earn that amount. |

BlueRayDick:That's why I used average. For some houses are worth billions while some are worth multiple millions. A house a on plot of land in Agege will cost more than 80M while one in Oshodi will cost 100 to 120M. Those in gbagada will cost more and so on. There are many things to look at to prove my point, Houses are just one of them. |
