Let’s take a sample size from the population of those living in Lagos State.

How many people can we say earn more than 5 million annually? In Lagos alone, we have four major employers of labor: the government, the financial services sector, oil and gas, and telecom. Let’s even throw in tech companies, which cut across most industries. How many people can we say will earn more than N20million annually in the first two decades of their employment?
Now, let’s move away from corporate jobs and talk about petty traders, artisans, conductors, and so on. How many of those people do we actually think earn above N5 million annually?
It’s disgusting how people throw numbers around without any idea of how those numbers came about in the first place.

If you’ve ever earned money legitimately in Nigeria and you think 160 million is just pocket change, then I would like to know what you’re smoking.

Here’s the post you responded to above. Can you show me where I claimed that most people can’t earn 100k monthly? Please take another look at the post and let me know how it translates into me saying that people won’t or can’t make N100k monthly.
Since you’re so invested in this conversation that you’ve started bringing up front-page topics from someone you don’t personally know, I’d like to ask you directly: Are you an employer, an employee, or self-employed person? Whatever you claim to be, can you please provide an estimated figure for your monthly earnings? I’d like to see something concrete.

Don’t come back with no bricklayer or keke man story abeg you. Just drop your personal experience as an adult please.

i am an employer of labour in my small lane..160m is big money to me and to everyone,but saying most won't see it in a lifetime is capping..aside business life,my expenses every month exceeds 350-400k even tho i am not yet married.only fueling of a car takes 40 percent from that money.

Tell aus what you mean by this. Everyone could see you were insinuating seankafor friends won't be able to afford an hustle that pays at least 100k monthly. If it's a lie tell then explain what you mean by that statement.

Digz replied both which means that over 90% of Nigerians cannot earn/spend 160million in their lifetime. Then I replied that 5million yearly spending over 30years gives 150million which is close to that amount so I don't agree with his assessment. I am certain you yourself have spent at least 4milllion in 2024.

There are at least 20 million different house owners in Nigeria. At least 10 million different house owners in Metropolis such as Lagos, Aba, Onitsha, Kano, PH, Asaba, Calabar, parts of Abuja etc.

No way 20M Nigerians don't worth or won't worth 160M in assest already owned, income yet to be made and expenses already incurred. This is more like an insult to Nigerians please. Do you even realize that 160M was 40M equivalent in 2019. Omo!!!

divide 5 million by 12 and is roughly 400k per month

where is your arithmetic coming from?

how many jobs pay that much? how many jobs can afford to pay that much?

first off , it is mainly corporate private sector and federal govt employment that can pay that. state governments that are dragging 80k minimum wage cannot. so where are your 180 million nigerians earning 400k per month coming from?
