He was almost in tears apologizing to Nigerians for the way they are treated. And my question is/was if you haven't or don't benefit anything from people directly so you treat them badly?

It's Soo true, one guy from Ivory coast came for couple of weeks. I can guarantee he will have good stories to tell when he returns.

He presence made me observe something that Nigerians are not bad people that conditioning of the populace puts their mind under serious stress. And this stress subconsciously propels us to act and behave in ways that may appear unacceptable.

Have you noticed how a typical Nigerian will never fight even though in a heated argument? That's a major evidence also that Nigerians don't like trouble. I think my wife will share the same sentiment with the lady.

I'm currently in Nigeria with my South african Pedi wife, kids and my mother in-law. Yesterday, on our way to Abuja, we boarded a Bolt car ride to take us to the Lagos Airport. Unfortunately for us, my wife gave my 11month old girl her phone to play with but the phone dropped along the way. We didn't notice. We only noticed about three hours after, when we were already in Abuja.

To cut the long story short, we got the phone back from the driver. In fact, he had been trying to reach us for hours. We were so happy to get back the phone (even if the S23 phone is still with my family in Lagos). Of course, we gave him some money, though I wish I had given him more. I was so proud of my people.

Nigeria fought apartheid to a stand still in south Africa especially during Obasanjo military regime. Even Obasanjo suggested Africans to use African juju to fight Botha government then. Many Nigeria musicians like Sunny Okoso sing songs against apartheid regime. Nigeria government contributed millions then to support freedom movement in south Africa, but south African youths hate Nigerians and murder them at will on little provocation.
