It is very redundant. I mean, the information is not even true. There was never a christmas palliative in Canada. Even if, rain don't fall during christmas in Canada and it would have being maybe homeless people. In Canada citizens get financial aids and benefits.

And many more that I just have to silent about.

Now what has Nigeria donated to America in the last 25 years of this dispensation?

You people with jaundice comparison. This country would never grow with the mindset of some of you.

Una really see UK finish maybe because of the over familiarity or the openness of Nigerians especially the ones on social media

Economic wise, UK is miles ahead of Canada. Many people especially migrant leaving UK for Canada is largely due to quicker PR/Kpali.

Especially many international students whose Post study visa is expiring.
Everyone knows UK has a better economy than Canada...!

It's just the citizenship stress that makes some prefer the latter.

Justin messed up Canada with his immigration policies... They should have been stricter.

But, they will bounce back... They have the resources and manpower. Also, they are not as corrupt and incompetent as third world leaders.

Canada is better than Nigeria, but it has really been rough for the country of late.

The economy is tanking and inflation at all time high. Unemployment is over the roof, and housing has gone crazy. Healthcare in shambles and waiting time now like forever. Talk about the exchange rate against the dollar, that’s a story for another day.

The country bit more than it can chew. Why keep admitting people into the country when the opportunities and infrastructures are not there. Like some pundits will say, it was a money spindling venture for them.

They might be forced to become the 51st state of the US.
How exactly is Canada economy tanking and inflation at all time high? Una go just open mouth based on whatever a crazy person says on social media.

Lauretta Onochie, a Nigerian presidential aide, has reacted to a video showing Canadians queuing for palliatives.

In the video, a large crowd of Canadians can be seen waiting in line to receive palliatives. The scene is reminiscent of similar scenes often seen in developing countries, where citizens may queue for essential items.

Onochie's reaction to the video highlights the unexpected nature of the scene, with many Nigerians expressing surprise that a developed country like Canada would experience such a situation.

The video has sparked a wider conversation about the impact of economic conditions and the importance of social welfare programs. Many have praised the Canadian government's efforts to provide support to its citizens, while others have criticized the perceived inefficiencies in the distribution process.

The reaction from Onochie and other Nigerians underscores the global nature of economic challenges and the need for effective social safety nets.

I live in the UK, I am volunteering to serve in one of the Soup KItchens in the city, we usually open 3 times a week and could you believe that we serve over 70 families, three times a week and they are mostly whites. I also know more than 7 soup kitchens different from ours doing similar things. They queue up. very orderly, very patient and understanding. Also, very appreciative, praying for us.

One thing I like here is that the people are not greedy, they prefer one another and are even willing to share among themselves if we don't have enough.

We like making noise in Nigeria and our media houses too which have been blinded by partisan politics magnify the issues in Nigeria as if there are not problems somewhere else. God bless our country.

How much are they exploiting Nigeria? You better stop generalising issue. Roll out how much they are exploiting Nigeria and let the world know.
I wrote those things as to tell you that your comparison makes you unwise.
By 2025 millions of Nigerians will still roll out to apply for America lottery and if there is any epidemic or pandemic, same America will still donate millions to Nigeria but if there is a pandemic in America Nigeria is not fit to donate a dime to them.

Go and check the unemployment rate in Canada vs UK. Also economy between both countries. As an immigrant you’re more likely going to secure a job faster in the UK than in Canada.

And what’s wrong with care? Even care get levels. Many professional carers are doing good numbers in care.

Many immigrants especially of African origin prefers this area because of the ease and flexibility that comes with especially the less formal process of standardization.

Make no mistakes, many are beginning to penetrate core professional career paths.

Una really see UK finish. A country where most European counties dey go hustle.

Quicker PR/Kpali is where Canada beat UK because they have so many route to it. Unlike UK which is majorly a hard to get sponsorship jobs and international students can’t get straight pathway to PR/Kpali.

Not for economic opportunities, UK is Miles ahead.

So many reasons. Many don’t want to work but comfortable claiming weekly/monthly benefits that is not taxed.

Many are homeless and live in council/municipal/province funded houses. During the day they begin to roam the streets and come back at nigh to sleep.

Some can be excovict who would have maxed out their credit rating.

Many good be having some underlying health conditions and because of the benefits they are on they will choose not to work. Many don’t just like hardwork, majority of these guys are not greedy and contented.

The reasons why some people are poor in 1st world are just endless.

But above all, people love free stuffs. Do the same thing in the richest place of Nigeria like islands or central FCT, people will gather even those that are rich and comfortable will want to collect their share even when they have that same items at home. It’s human nature

They are not poor perse. They are mainly homeless people due to alcoholism, drug addictions, also some are incapable of managing their lives so they end up in the streets for sometime until they get their lives back to normal, some are prisoners who was released from prison but has no home to go to, although there are shelter (free accommodations) where they could stay. I have met a homeless doctor he had a good house, families, money and friends, but he became depressed, his wife divorced him, took his kids, he lost his house, he started drinking, ends up an alcoholic and on the streets. So he is not poor becauase he could get financial aids and free accommodation from the government. Until he can get his life back.

Thanks for this response. But judging by few points above, It seems the factor called "poor" or "poverty" isn't the same with the realities obtainable with African countries... The UK and Canadian government are really trying or perhaps it's the Humanitarian system
