Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three members of a suspected armed robbery gang that invaded the Safejo area of Amukoko of the state during the Christmas celebration.

The arrested suspects and others still at large were attempting to rob residents of Amukoko on Christmas Day when the state Commissioner of Police, Olanrewaju Ishola, deployed policemen to the area.

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Friday, December 27, 2024.

“In furtherance of the directive of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, to commands and formations to implement unalloyed anti-crime strategies towards ensuring adequate safety and security during this festive period, operatives of the Nigeria Police Force across several states in the country have successfully apprehended multiple groups of armed robbers, cultists and hoodlums targeting fun seekers and engaging in gangsterism during the Christmas celebrations,” he stated.

"On the 25th of December 2024, at about 1 am, police operatives attached to the Lagos State Command received a distress call that a group of hoodlums armed with dangerous weapons was operating around the Safejo area of Amukoko, Lagos State.”

“The swift response by the police operatives to the scene led to the arrest of three of the suspected hoodlums, identified as [b]Emmanuel Okoli (20 years), Ogunde Tejiri (20 years), and Emmanuel Orji (18 years), and the recovery of the weapons they had used in carrying out robbery attacks on innocent fun seekers in the area.[/b]

"The police have initiated intensified searches to apprehend the fleeing members of the gang.”

We can all see who these criminals are in Lagos / SW.

They come from their God forsaken region to commit crime in Lagos/SW.

The only place these ańimàls are scared of committing crimes is in the North because of how they were dealt with by the northerners in the 60's.

Armed robbery is one of their LEGIT hustles and I'm sure everybody knows this (unless we want to pretend we don't know)

95% of robbery carried out on our highways are done by these ánimàls.

In the 90's , these añimals were the reason Ghanaians were sent out of Nigeria because everyone thought the Ghanaians were the ones involving in robbery. It became clear these anîmals were the robbers when Ghanaians left and the same anîmaks were the ones pointing accusing fingers at the Ghanaians calling them armed robbers.

You will be shocked if you hear this boys speaking Yoruba fluently simply because they were born and raised in that same community. Don't let's us tribalised this crime issue because both Yorubas and Igbos are partners in crime especially in that Ajeromi/Ifelodun LG where the crime was reported. They only disagree when comes to politics but when it's crime they both romance each other

If you know the community where this crime was committed you won't tribalised this issue because Yorubas are also involved in such as well. If you've been to that place you will be shocked when you see the population of young people. The young ones , including Yorubas involved in a crime as they wish. Cultism is a normal lifestyle to them. When you're walking in any of the streets in that area and you see young boys walking in a group just avoid them before they dispossessed you. At least one of them will have either a cutlass or dagger under their clothes including charms. Crime in that area is committed by both Yorubas and Igbos
