I dislike replying to or commenting on your posts because you're usually neither here nor there. But today, you sound a bit sane, so I will give you that benefit.

War is strategic but it's the decision-making and realities on the ground that define and shape strategy.

Air campaign alone does not win wars. Mention ONE war where victory was achieved strictly on the basics of airpower. Not even the United States and NATO combined have achieved such feat from the bombing of Serbia to Iraq to Afghanistan. You need boots on the ground to achieve real victory.

Russian impressive air campaign in Syria was significant but not the only deciding factor that kept Assad in power. Iranian and it's proxies gound deployment, particularly Hezbollah and Russian mercenaries were what complimented the Russian air campaign that resulted in success.

Israel going back and forth with bombing Yemen from the skies is not strategic but the result of the stark reality that that is the only means of counter it can dare muster against the Houthis that has proved to everyone that they fear no one but are equally sophisticated and capable of fighting back.

The IDF does not enjoy flying back and forth 2000km just to bomb some airports and one or two other assets in Yemen only for the Houthis to strike back hypersonically. And the cycle repeat itself. How long can the IDF keep it up? It would certainly weary the air force and expose them to further potential hazards. Sane heads knows the odds are against the IDF and this is something they cannot win without ground deployment, but Netanyahu for political reasons thinks otherwise.

Syria as it is right now has no real national standing army. So who are you expecting to confront the advancing Israeli troops? The civilians?
As of here and now, the isrealis has no cause for ground incursion into Yemen.
If you happen to be an Israeli General would that be your next course of action?

Currently, a sustained air campaign, and with US partnership they can launch from aircraft carrier which lowers distance and logistics problems.
A sustained air campaign is enough to do the job, the Houthis lacks the technicality, ability, weapons capability and economic might to sustain a whole Israeli air onslot.
Further infrastructural damage, leadership targeting and assassination like the isrealis is known for can do the job.
To apply more pressure, Saudi Arabia won't pass the chance of sponsoring/financing a ground led campaign against the Houthis adding the Israelis objectives.

No matter how you look it th Houthis are cooked, the holy grail here is if the power just call their bluff, deciding against a sustain action like they've done before.

Well said. I was wondering where his sudden support for SAA was coming from. I was even initially confused and thought he was rooting for HTS until he clarifed it was the SAA.

Syria is definitely going to be a hotbed of madness over the next few years. It will be quite interesting to see how quickly alliances will change. The crux will be the point where the same countries that armed groups fighting against the SAA will arm the SAA to fight against HTS/SNA.
Syria is one hell of a geopolitical paradox.

Ask yourself a simple question, Why will the IDF invade Yemen?? Is it political and military wise to embark on such campaigns??

The IDF did not say they want to take over Yemen. terrorist groups such as the Houthis are mostly fuelled by ideologies, they never die. Ideologies is difficult to kill So you simply suppress them to the point they can't carry attacks at you. Same way the US did with osaman's Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State. same way hazebolla has been suppressed in labenon. they couldn't even muster the strength to fight off the rapid onslaught against Assad’s forces.

Those attacks by the IDF are deliberate, they are meant to target infrastructure critical to the fighting/economic capabilities of the Houthis

The Houthis do not pose any territorial risk to the Jewish state. There will be no need for any ground incursion. Unlike Hamas and hazebolla. Houthis posses a limited risk to the Jews.

@The bolded...The question you should be asking is how will the Houthis sustain a prolong military confrontation with the IDF not the other way round, comparing a non state actor whose major source of funding and weapons comes from Iran. With one of the biggest economy in the middle-east, whose defence industry is one of the most robust in the world and has access to US and it partners military assets and intelligence in the region. Also a major recipient of US military aid. The Jewish airforce can and has the capability to carry out massive and sustained airstrikes on Houthis positions for years if it has to.

P.s the Jewish long range ballistic missiles like the jericho projectiles would easily strike any country in the middle-east, but why waste such costly ballistic missiles on inferior targets in Yemen when you can just fly your jets and bomb the shit out of does terrorist.
I merely responded to your earlier posts of strategy, and since you have not disputed the fact, we can call it a day.

I'm wondering what kind of reportage is this by this media org.
I think anyone killed in the battle field should be classified as dying in action whether through execution or direct fire exchange(captured or not captured). Which one is bbc singing "executing prisoners of war" again? In battle field? The questions is.. were these soldiers executed after taken into prisons/custody? Is there any documented evidence obtained by bbc to ascertain this guys were in prisons pre their executions? Or is the battle field now the new symbol of prison facility for bbc? Could this be a well crafted propaganda campaign or misunderstanding of journalism by bbc? I don't understand.. you people should pls come and explain prisoner of war give me pls.

#To me for a soldier to be qualified to be called a prisoner of war, he must first of all be taken into prison/custody and adequately processed into account by the authorities before earning that tittle/tag

Syria is one hell of a geopolitical paradox.
Its politics and warfare needs to be studied as a single subject. There are civil wars, complex civil wars, very complex civil wars, and then the Syrian civil war.

The Syrian civil war is civil in name only. I have never seen any civil war with so many international actors involved.

I went to Afghanistan to do a study on the heroin poppy crop. Oh boy. And I'll tell you, nobody liked it, that I was doing this.

So I fly to Afghanistan, and as a senior staff member, I have the rank of brigadier general. Right? So they gotta like drop everything and cater to my needs.

Pod cast questionnaire ::: Seriously. Were you- wait, so you're investigating potential malfeasance around these fields?

Afghanistan used to be a net food exporter, and as soon as the U.S. takes over, they're producing 93% of the world's heroin. That's right. I'd like to know how the Bleep that happened.

Pod cast questionnaire :::Yeah, I would too. Yeah.

Nobody wanted to tell me. So I get to Bagram Air Base, and I said, I'm gonna need a helicopter to Lashkar Gah. And they were like, oh, can't do it. Too dangerous. I was like, no, we're doing it, like, in the next hour.
You have to be a dick with these people sometimes, right? Because they- they think that they can just- they can just pacify you until it's time to leave. And I'm like, no.

I outrank you. I'm telling you, get a pilot, and fly me to Lashkar Gah. So we get down there, and it's a god-awful place, but man, I'm telling you, as far as your eye can see, all there is, is poppy. All of it is poppy. So I said, I want to talk to a poppy farmer.

They were like, are you nuts? And I said, no, I'm serious, I want to talk to a poppy farmer. So we go out to the poppy fields, we see this guy cultivating his poppy. So I go up to him, and I said, um, I gotta ask you a question, which was incredibly naive. I said, why don't you grow crops that have two growing seasons instead of poppy?
You could grow tomatoes, or onions, or pomegranates, etc

And he goes like this, he goes, ah, the Americans told me in 2001, if I told them where the Arabs taliban cells were, I could grow all the poppy I wanted.

I go, what Americans told you you could grow poppy? My military handler's like, we gotta go, the bogey's taliban are in the area, we gotta go, and he physically pulls me into the military jeep and takes me back to the helicopter.

I was like, uh, okay. So, I make an appointment to go to this DEA secret site. Somebody had reached out to me in my office back in the base and said, hey, we heard you're doing this study, and you might want to come out here, we could have lunch nearby.

I was like, okay. So I get in my car, I drive out to Timbuktu, outside Washington, friggin' far, and there's this secret DEA facility out there. So there's three of them, and we go out to lunch, and they were like, you're in over your head.

I said, how do you figure? They're like, there are very powerful forces in the USA pentagon that want that poppy to be cultivated.

And I said, why? It's 93% of the world's heroin. And they said, because almost all of that heroin goes to Iran and to Russia, and we want them to be addicted to heroin. It weakens their societies. Almost all of it goes- there he said..

Hmmmm

Na propaganda from Western media to discourage Ukrainian troops from surrendering to Russian soldiers. If you surrender you will be killed, why not fight till the end? But that's fake news. Russia don't kill prisoners of war, especially those who surrendered submissively/peacefully.

The examples you cited they all borders Israel and they are in close proximity with the Jewish state.

On this thread we all saw how some of your colleagues hyped hazebolla, how hazebolla was a different beast to Hamas. Now it the turn of the Houthis to step into the light. Suddenly the Houthis are now the next big thing in the iran axis of evil, we all saw how hazebolla was decimated, the Houthis sadly will be meant with the same fate via a constant and sustained bombing spree.

An invasion is not a simple military task to undertake. This requires logistics, intelligence and mass deployment of men and materials. Something the Israelis can't afford now considering the limited risk pose by Houthis group miles away.

Russia was an ally to Gaddafi's Libya, an ally to Saddam Hussein's Iraq an ally to Assad’s Syria. Yet when this nations where faced with belligerence from militants groups. Russia the so called "super power" didn't deployed troops to curtain the opposition. Yet you want the Jews to carry out an invasion against a Houthis which constitute minimal and poses a limited risk to the sovereignty of the Israeli state 🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣

Am bewildered that this is coming from you, I won't be shocked if this was coming from the "tiktok" man or the irredeemable pillock WriteerNg.

War isn't Call of duty, this is reality, there is a reason why you are Lord Adam, Lord of this thread and while Benjamin Netanyahu is the prime minister of Israel.
When you get to the corridors of power you can order your invasion.

Happy holidays.
