For an average Nigerian to see 160 million in their entire life, they'd need to have made average of 450K per month from ages 25 - 55. How many Nigerian's even make that amount at the end of their careers not to talk of earning it on average grin

It's a ridiculous argument sha...maybe when Tinubu's renewed hope Nigeria comes fully materialized, and loaf of bread now 5K and salaries adjusted a bit to match, you can make an argument for 10% of the population seeing such numbers. But old and present Nigeria...no way.

Bro, I don't understand what you're on about, but let’s clarify a few things.

First off, I don’t understand why you’re twisting the facts and misrepresenting the numbers. Just to set the record straight, I stated that 90% of Nigerians will never see N160 million, whether it’s taxed or untaxed, before they leave this earth. It feels as though you’re arguing against a point that isn’t even being made.
Also, it seems to me that you’re not recognising the reality that most people in this country are facing today. There’s a statistic indicating that 73 million out of over 230 million in the population are employed. That’s less than half of the population—let that sink in! Out of those 73 million, we have petty traders, small-time farmers, artisans, labourers, and self-employed individuals, among others.

Let’s assume we set the minimum wage at N200,000 across the board. If you consider that most of these individuals didn’t start earning until their mid-20s—especially for graduates in white-collar jobs—it presents a different story.
If you project their earning power over the course of 40 years of active employment—keeping in mind that Nigerians often retire around 60 years old—along with any substantial wage increases they might receive due to promotions or length of service, how much do you really think will pass through their hands?

You mentioned metropolitan cities, but let’s be honest: Lagos is the primary place where people come to hustle. Yes, there are opportunities elsewhere, but when we look outside Lagos to other states, aside from government jobs and banking, many are self-employed as petty traders, labourers, and small-time farmers. What else is out there for those millions of Nigerians to earn from?
So, where do you think most of these individuals will ever come across N160 million in their lifetime?

Take a step back from your emotions on this. It's Sunday; it’s not too late to conduct a survey. Why not visit a local church and gather some insights into the actual living conditions of Nigerians around you?

Good luck!
this is confidential gibberish..

Saying at most 10-20m Nigerians won't see 160m in their lifetime is just utter gibberish

You sure say you finish Uni like this so? If you no finish Uni, I suggest you try go complete your degree even if you no need the cert for anything…… e get why.

90% of Nigerians is over 200 million people, not just 10-20 million.

If you can’t do simple maths, how can you calculate or extrapolate how many people will actually see that N160 million in their lifetime?

you re an embecile who is high on his own ignorance

The 10-20m I mentioned was minused from the 90% you guys said won't see $100k for their lifetime.. so it's literally around 10% or thereabouts..

It's fools like you who think school is a yardstick for excellence..who re still stuck in the decadent manual and archaic mode of education..

I got internet bítch, you can go to hell with your paper made certificate

Point of correction, I don’t believe that school is the only yardstick for anyone to be successful in life. However, it does help in many ways.

I apologise if I hit a nerve, bro. I’m not interested in throwing insults around, especially not with you.

Now, back to the discourse at hand.

Earlier, you mentioned that you live in an area with high-rise buildings. What does that really mean? Omo… your case must be a special kind of stupid, sha.

Just because you’ve always lived a fast life, enjoyed quick money, and probably saved a bit doesn’t mean your reality is the same as the millions of people in this country, like those living in remote villages and all that.

If I begin to ask you personal questions about your environment, would you be happy to answer? That way, I can break down and analyse the millionaires in your area.

We are not talking about "doing quite well"

We are talking about making 160 million in their life.

For a 30 year old, he needs to be hitting 500k for 30 years to make that. So, how many 30 year old people make that in Nigeria?

You think Nigeria revolves around your phone contacts and cliques?
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 11:38am On Dec 29, 2024
Minister of Finance told you that 70% of Nigerians don't have 500k as account balance.

Mind you, these are stats from those wey get account oh. Those wey no get account nko?

I don't even see the need to argue, after reading this.

Hey, I already addressed this issue in the post you quoted, but it seems you didn’t catch that part.

If you don’t mind me asking, aside from Lagos State, can you mention 7 other states in Nigeria that match the dynamics of Lagos?

I don’t owe you sh1t, not even an apology. The mere effrontery to demand an apology after throwing insults my way shows you think the world owes you something. Newsflash: the world does not owe you sh1t, and I certainly don’t owe you an apology.

As for how I train or mentor those around me, I use the carrot and stick approach. Let’s take this back-and-forth we’re having as an example: When people trivialise a discourse/generalise things they can’t back up, and they’ve clearly been shown a different opinion and thought process backed with evidence, yet they continue to argue from their emotional, myopic standpoint, which lacks any evidence or proven data, trust me, calling them stupid would be a nice way of saying they’re dumb.

By the way, I grew up in an era where if you chat sh1t constantly without any evidence to back yourself up in the presence of your elders, you’d get a proper knock on your head for being stupid.

You’re lucky you’re not around me right now… your head would’ve been swollen from the numerous knocks!

Dey here Dey ask for apology. If I e-konk your head this afternoon….you go apologise to me instead for wasting my time trying to educate you.

People already do to a lesser extent. MMa, Boxing etc People would absolutely participate in a real life squid game. I'm pretty certain elements of the Squid Game do exist in real life behind closed doors in Asia.
