There is a fifth variant which is borne out of partisanship. The things some people are defending today are the things they attacked when they were not in power. The things some are attacking today are the things they defended when they were in power. When the NBS rebased the GDP under the PDP in 2014 and we became Africa’s biggest economy, the APC ridiculed it. In 2024, the NBS released favourable employment data under the APC and the PDP mocked it. Need I remind us of the deregulation of petrol pricing by the PDP in 2012 which was opposed by the same APC elements now celebrating their own deregulation as a great success? I think partisan hypocrites fit each other Nairaland politics section a nutshell....2010-date. Sauce:Let's be kind to Nigeria please The above is why I am slowly divesting from the politics thread on this site. People are not here for sane discussion. They are here to defend their side. And they automatically assume you are on the other side. Agbado and nonsense. |

AN example is the subsidy debate. Back in the day, some people on this site opposed it, some defended it. Now, those who defended it, oppose it, those who opposed it back then defend it. Either way, it's very amusing. ![]() |

nairalanda1:Your own hypocrisy is just so legendary on this forum. Your own morality, holistically is seeing only what the opposition are saying about your principal, your party and your region. You care less about what the people that belonged to the mutual group with you have been doing or behaving. One sided NL judge |

Yoruba will rather go gaga that take what they give to others without qualms .. and will defend “ theirs “ with all insult and abuses laced with curses … if you tell them reality.. They will rather go on line and search a same topi somewhere in the world and used it as excuses or competition depending on what’s said . Nothing New … tribalism… and beyirebe lifestyle .. But they call it sophistication and diplomacy Reality is that Nigerians already knows them for their act . Days of print media is gone …internet age .. everyone has an opinion and can debunk and decern their lies and propaganda sharp It’s getting difficult for their Yoruba media already.. now they’re arresting, gagging and shutting Nigerians … with fake news stories .. while daily dishing propaganda Thank God Nigerians careless … counting down to 2027. Even on nairaland .. they will try to intimidate you with insults .. while mods look left and generate likes that proves nothing … except on their yorubaland sites .. But we will choke them as it is ..with reality and truth Imagine Yoruba people promoting politics of bitterness and lies laced with propaganda in 2014/15.. just to oust a president.. E reach them.. they wan ban all Very very funny humans Nigerians has already learn and can’t and won’t unlearn Only say PDP and other oppositions don’t play dirty politics like the Yoruba parties .. From AG..AD . AC.. ACN.. APC .. All dirty and destructive party politics as opposition.. God bless Nigeria |

helinues:Well, I said what I said. Your enemies too also accuse me of being biased, so, it does nothing for me by your linking to my comments. I have been called agbado, obident, insensitive, monster, etc...for my views. They haven't changed over the years, because I am not a political somebody. The thing is, chaps like you and those who abuse me change your views with the years. Better be...well, it doesn't matter. Thank God for democracy. |

Frigga13:You know, what you are accusing others of, someone is saying the same about your side. Also, the fact is, you guys know how to blame one tribe to make your side look good. You don't wanna face the fact that Nigeria has not been properly run since independence . Because it means indicting your beloved heroes too for bad leadership. Better wake up. |

When Nigeria became the largest economy in Nigeria, it was felt by the masses. From 1999, Nigeria was on an upward trajectory economically. Could it have even better? Certainly, but every one felt the positive impact. I have done an analysis on this forum showing that between 1984-2014, the purchasing power of the average Nigerian was at its highest between 2012-2014. So the statistics of the rebased economy matched the reality on ground. The same cannot be said for the statistics dished out by apc on employment because the statistics does not match the reality on ground. In 2014, a bricklayer who earned N3000 per day could feed with the money for 3 days, eating 3 square meals every day. Today, the average daily labour charge is N5000, but it can barely feed the labourer for 2 days even when eating just 1 meal a day. Is that what apc calls improvement in the standard of living? To put it into clearer perspective, a brick layer who somehow worked for 30 days in 2014 earned N90000 a month, equivalent to over $400. Today, that same labourer earns N150000 a month, equivalent to $93... is that progress? Bat was so excited that his 5 rolls Royce owning friend now drives a Honda due to hardship and bat was talking about need to cut costs, and I ask, has bat led by example? Has he sold off any of his private jets due to hardship? |
| Re: Nairaland Politcs Threads In A Nutshell by ivandragon: 7:38am On Dec 30, 2024 |
Frigga13:This is where you get it wrong. 70% of Yorubas do not support BAT. It is a few people who give that impression as a way to create disunity and hate so they can hide under that to cover the incompetence of bat. All the tribal trash is a state sponsored strategy because they know that Nigerians are ethnic racists and become unthinking beasts when bragging about tribes. |
