Lol.... these people are just too heartless, instead of working to make sure prices of foodstuffs drop he wants everyone to start planting potatoes along the highway or where else can one get a small piece of land for farming in a rented apartment undecided
If there are 20 houses on your street and 15 of them have a garden for fresh pepper.... What will happen to the price of pepper around that street??

If you’re not a farmer by profession, your everyday food should not come from your backyard. Your earnings should be able to buy your food.

In fact a day’s work should be sufficient to buy groceries for a week. Then you can pay taxes and have savings with what you make in 4 remaining days of the week.

This government is glorifying hardship.

Clown! Tenants should plant where?

He should refine crude oil in his kitchen so it can reduce the price of petrol.
While you're looking for excuses as tenants, others are looking for solutions and that's why food will always be scarce in Nigeria.....

This is sack farming... You can grow almost any house hold crop in sacks...
Potatoes, pepper, tomatoes, yam, vegetables, name it...
But instead of feeding yourself... You're waiting for the government to come and spoonfeed you...

Just dey wait. E go soon reach your turn...

Come and watch how stupid people will make excuses and insult this guy instead of picking one or 2 lessons from this post...

In a street of 20 houses, let's assume 15 of them grow fresh pepper... What will happen to the price of pepper around that areahuh

Back in those days, after kids come from school, they join their parents and go to the farm to weed...

That was how some of us learnt how to eat roasted yam and plantain...
We never bought from the road side

But the people of these days choose to be on social media day and night waiting for the government to spoon feed them rather than lookin for a way to solve their immediate problems....

Exactly. Many Nigerian youths of today are just not ready to do anything useful with themselves.

But they are very expert at criticising the govt.

Re: Bayo Onanuga Shows Off Potatoes Harvested in His home Garden by Chegesnd: 12:12pm On Dec 30, 2024
I agree with Mr. Bayo on this, there is need for everyone to return to farming no matter how small. It has a positive ripple effect on our food security.
However, he should be mature and reasonable not to taunt anyone because of his less than seven potato tubbers.

I farm small scale and large scale in Osun state,it is true we face herders clash from time to time but i will never give up farming because of some nuisance. The police come in form time to time to settle the matter and they pay compensation.
If all southerners form ourselves into groups to safeguard our farm assets no Fulani herder will overpower you,Instead they will run away from us because of the power of numbers.
the herdesr recently encroached my farm to feed their cows my maize farm,we are on top of the situation. If we all stop farming because of herders we can all starve to death in our home and allow herders take over our God given land,
Herdsmen from hell

How many days will it feed you and your family ?.... how much will it cost you to get this many potatoes? ...including transportation ? ... can you even afford it ?....how many days has land in your yard been sitting idle producing nothing to eat for you and your family? .. excused if you live in I face you

Hunger plus poverty bringeth forth envy.

@ topic.... so many people can do same....but I strongly believe pride is preventing them from doing so. Guy should've done everything to protect his location.... ones will be able to ID his house and the rest will be history.

You continue to overlook the glaring failures of the government. Without the right to possess firearms, how can ordinary citizens possibly defend themselves against armed herders? While the police may occasionally come to your aid, do you truly believe that every struggling peasant farmer enjoys such privilege? If we persist in ignoring the government’s inadequacies—despite the billions allocated to them—then we are, in effect, enabling these politicians to shirk their responsibilities.
don’t mind that idiot…. It’s 99% possible he is lying, and doesn’t have any farm.

Don’t believe anything these ronu bastards say online o.
You will be irritated if you see them in real life; you’ll be disappointed at the thought that you have been engaging a riff raft all the while.
