Having hope and believing Nigeria can be better is equally an achievement far better than hopeless ones like yourself.

Tinubu isn't the reason why you are hungry,so get up and work.

On a serious, Buhari deserves some credit for setting the ball of these refinery projects rolling. But kudos to Tinubu for not abandoning it. At least he put country over political aspirations.

We would have since gone very very far as a country

My late father told me then in 2006, I was still very young, that the subsidies were holding us back. But I couldn’t understand what meant. Now I know.

May God have mercy on my late dad.

Today marks exactly one year since he passed
May the good Lord continue to have mercy upon his soul, and preserve all he left behind!!!

Let it drop to at least 500 naira in a few weeks

Then, we can then truly say we are getting somewhere

Seeing is believing

PH came onboard allegedly prices remained same
Dangote announced online of price reduction, it still ended online

Now this?....and you want me and other sane Nigerians to believe without evidence?

All we wish and fight for is a better Nigeria that will be fair, just and peaceful to all......this type of situation doesn't need media validation since they are tangible variables that can be measured, felt and enjoyed

Mba now
I don't know where you live it if you buy petrol at all.....but pms is now retailing for 950 per liter here in Lagos, NNPCL and bovas.

Please don't mention Buhari here! The suffering we are going through today was caused by the man who served for 8 solid years and has nothing to show for it. A monumental failure. Look at all the Rotimi Amaechi's railworks media campaign, why is Ogbomoso = Ilorin road leading to the North still blocked with trailers? We can't transport anything on the Buhairi/ Amaechi rail line.

Based on this, do you think it’s safe to remove subsidy on electricity too?

That will attract local and foreign investors and again, bring about another competitive market.
Removing subsidy on electricity is inevitable but the timing for now would be wrong.

This has nothing to do with subsidy and everything to do with Dangore refinery. With such a refinery with a large production capacity, the cabal cannot cough out silly amounts of refined products produced and sold to marketers and hence make silly claims for payment. The only way out for them would be to kill the dangote refinery which they couldn't and I give that credit to Tinubu. Now NNPC and the federal government knows if the NNPC refineries do not work, they are the ones to lose and that is why the refineries magically started working. Ask yourself, was Mele Kyari not there during Buhari's regime? Why is he getting it right now? What happened?

This recent development is expected to further weaken Dangote's apparent monopolistic influence in the industry, compelling him to lower petrol prices even more.
Give kudos to Dangote at least. If not for him, no oil will be refined in this Country. Even the price reduction you mentioned, he is the one forcing the useless NNPC to reduce. Remember, he was the one that announced price reduction first before the yeye NNPC followed suit

No I will give this tinibu, he has the willpower and that's the only way a Nation can function. Left to dangote it will be an all northern affair
If not also for people like Tinubu who led a mass revolt and held the then government to ransom when subsidy was removed, we wouldn't have suffered what we are suffering today

Nigeria is a great nation. I have never made wrong confessions over this country. Gradually, the dark clouds will pass away. Just a matter of time. We have all it takes. We will rank amongst the greatest in the world...soon....

Stupid people, who even wrote this trash?celebrating what Chinese students will achieve like a piece meal, boasting to export the product and the country will make more as if they will not steal the money again. Government and these politicians are bunch of jokers, stop celebrating rubbish, jus make petroleum products available the masses, especially domestic gas and keep quiet.

Has nothing to do with subsidy removal? So what's the need for claim payments if the FG is no longer paying subsidies?
Oga, without subsidy removal, these refineries will never work because government would still need to be paying subsidies on each liter of Petro from dangote refinery. OK, so you trust dangote not to work with the "cabals" on inflating the the daily consumption? Think again.

Well the optics of politics is deeper than what we see. Although assuming such was done couple of years back, we won't be in this state.

But at the same time I felt the north would have fought Jonathan till the very end.

What do we even know sef
Re: Warri Refinery: Marketers Project Further Price Drop As Production Resumes by nwirinedu(m): 8:39am On Dec 31, 2024
NNPCL is a private entity, it is not generating money for the FG but rather its investors. There will be no real drop in prices of products as you will see when exports begin. Dont get ahead of yourselves.

You are right, Jonathan didn't succeed in that simply because he was from a minority tribe ruling the country. Tinubu himself did it successfully simply because he is from a majority tribe who is often aligned with another majority tribe in Nigeria. Nigerian politics is prominently tribal

That kaduna refinery must work to send those long pile of fuel tankers coming to the west and piling pressure on roads in the west back to the northern axis.
