If you apply as General Duty, you don't need "Specialisation" section. But for support staff, Specialisation section is compulsory.

I know a guy who got this customs job (graduate cadre), no connection. Even the guy was surprised when he was invited for all the stages of the recruitment. And fyi, he is from Delta state.

I'm not done. A person got NNPC, CBN and Airforce all within the same period. This guy is from kwara state and he knows nobody. I know much about it because he attended the recruitments processes of all three in lagos here. Infact, it was me that saw that of Airforce in this nairaland and informed him. He is currently with NNPC.

I'm not telling you this because of you, but because of others. Something that costs nothing to fill the online form, what the fvck is all these discouragement for?

The reason why many are sceptical is that from experience the issue of slot and connection always takes over and even when there are those who got without slots or connection they might not reach up to 1% while 99% is with connection or slot. it is alleged that some Oga at the top feel it they don't interfere their political opponents and enemies will take advantage to put their own people either through monetary inducement or cheating in exams.

Good morning bro. I just checked what you aid now. I have no error 504 in my browser history. What happened with mine is that the page just ceased after I clicked submit. General duty officers carry out general Customs procedures e.g enforcement, valuation, import and export desk etc

Support staff just like in any other organisation, carry out supporting roles aiding the organisation run smoothly, they include medical staff like doctors and nurses; technical staff like engineers, Architects; lawyers, Accounts, drivers, tailors etc.

That should explain it.

So in the case if this recruitment, there are a few support staff roles advertised. So if you don't fit in any of those, your only other option is general duty.

I made a mistake when filling the form , I input height of 1.67m instead of 1.7m as it stated for men …I’ve been bothered about this ,will this affect my chances ?

Good morning guys.... I'm Thaiwwo by name from state of harmony. Concerning strong connections or no connections, I was one of the aspirants on last recruitment that have strong connections in person of chairman senate committee on custom despite that I was unable to get the job.
So everything is grace of God. Many people got the job on the last recruitment without knowing anybody. So just try your luck and be prayerful that God grace should locate us.

It's a know fact that the then CG Ali doesn't used to give out slot and also he's not in good terms with the senators

Apart from the last one that they did before Buhari government comes to an end non of them was able to fixed any candidate.

A career CG are unpredictable because they always wanted to be in good book of politicians.
