My concern is the salary if you are getting 3500SR, I think that money is small considering the cost of living over there. Are you on a family status or Single status ? You better do all your findings before quitting your job in Nigeria . What is the term of your contract ?

Saudi Arabia is a nice country. WWE always host their crown 👑 jewel matches there every year. If it's not a good country, big companies like WWE won't bother flying their wrestlers there to host their shows in the country.

Make the move. It will be very easy for you to even secure another job in western countries from there, couple with the fact that, what you do have very high demands abroad. Don't be too comfortable with your 400k job in Nigeria. Go out of your comfort zone and explore the world more.

With the current situation of things, that amount is nothing to write home about, just so you know. You are being able to sustain yourself with that salary now because you are single. Once you add a wife and a child comes in, that amount won't be able to sustain you and a wife.

Also, if you move to Saudi Arabia, you will get more international exposures and that will be a big plus to your CV.

With all of the aforementioned, I will without a doubt advise you to make the move without thinking twice. Go and have fun and sell your skills to the outside world.

Please, use Saudi Arabia as a stepping stone and international experience. Don't look at the money aspect for now. Once you've worked for that 2 years, 5 months to the end of your contract, start applying for jobs in the US, UK, Canada. Start looking for sponsorship jobs from there. If you are lucky, you will even get a better job in those mentioned countries right from Saudi.

Alot of Nigerians are working in Saudi Arabia, just keep to their laws you are good to go, go there save money for 2 to 4 years by then u must have gotten travel experience plan urself and move to europe or Canada.

This is a good news and at same time might be a difficult experience IF due carrier orientation and clear understanding of the SA WP Immigration laws isn’t placed into consideration. I have a friend who who found him self in same situation as yours and also in same Industry. His offer was only but a one year contract and was renewable in contract terms but along the line he had issues which I wouldn’t want to put up here as it’s alittle confidential. But all so good he had some follow up and was able to scale through.

3500 Saudi Rial is low. There's Nigeria community in Saudi Arabia and you can also join the group. But I advise, you seek for salary above 5000. I believe the job comes with accommodation and transportation. Though at salary of 3500 you are a very low income earner in Saudi.

Stop giving bad advice. The laws are very strict on what you can and cannot do on visas. This "anything goes" mentality our people have to anything in life does not work there.

there’s no harm giving it a try for that 2 years contract. You can terminate it. Unless you’re scared of not getting this job back you are already having here in Nigeria. BUt the Saudi trip is worth it.

Saudi is building greater cities and world-class infrastructure. You would likely work in any of their 6!brand new cities they are building from scratch.

Don’t forget Saudi is hosting World Cup in 2034. You can easily join other world class companies that would be constructing various facilities there.

What you are offered is a fairly good one, to start with. Don’t expect Saudi to pay you what they are paying those hired from the western world. They would still need to train you.

Don’t mind those people who have never been there. Inflation rate is 2.9%.

You will get exposure to good work process/practice and right tools.

It will act as a stepping stone for you into another role/job/country.

You could get salary review quickly. Just give it your best and be truthful.
