Europe buys Russian LNG which are carried on ships.

Europe buys pipeline gas which transits through Ukraine to Hungary, Slovakia. Sometimes they buy from Hungary/Slovakia directly. This is the only pipeline still active I think and that's why they claim they have reduced dependency to 10%.

They are begging Azerbaijan to fund a new gas pipeline that can carry Russian gas to them, probably because of the Ukrainian threat.

Europe buys Russian gas through Turkish Steam, India, China and other third parties. This one alone covers all pre 2022 pipeline gas deliveries.

So who's fooling who? Does buying it from third parties at double the price make it any better than buying from Russia directly.

They reduced direct gas import from Russia, only to increase indirect import from other countries. At the end, the money still goes to Russia.
All these things you are saying, that man will never understand you.

I worked in Benin Koji Abuja and suleja, for 3 years on the AKK project.
I saw where someone said something about, the gas blockage issue being an opportunity for Nigeria...

Well guess what it big bullshit! Currently we are paying what I call a gas deficit, I learnt that most of the gas we produce has already been paid for. Even if Nigeria becomes the main supplier of gas to Europe, Nothing will change. And before the contract expires trust your government to collect another loan or indebt themselves again and it's "free gas for Europe" once again...

Nigeria before now has been the alternative to Russian gas. The TSGP was a plan to Psiphon gas from Beinin all the way to Europe.
The part of this pipeline that passed through Nigeria is called the AKK gas pipeline...
Due to the coup in Niger and alignment of goal of the junta and Russia, the project was prosponed. (I don't know about now)

It's forced hatred because none of them can mention exactly what Russia has done to them or their country. But they can all write a 180,000 page book of how US and EU actions have kept Africa and other continents poor and crime ridden.

Every nation has a war action plan against their adversaries.

Only fools don't.
Exactly the point.
There's nothing feasible personally, that they can point at, to say Russia is what they say it is.

I've never been a proponent for the situation of foreign military facilities anywhere in African territories. Bilateral relations and cooperations should mostly focus on economic benefits and not the militarization of African sovereign territories by foreign entities.

Even if one is to argue that this might turn out in favour of Sudan and Chad, I make bold to posit that terrorism in those regions is about to see a sharp spike, especially considering its proximity to gold minerals and the fact the West is going to feel slighted and will have absolutely no qualms funding terrorist activities in both countries just to challenge and destabilize Russia's presence and activities in the Sahel.

This is an unwelcome development.
Regardless of Russian involvement there, the west has been sponsoring terrorism there and won't stop anytime soon unless they are met with a military force which can only be provided by Russia or China at the moment.

You really doubt something that I am personally experiencing?

It's time you understand that anything or anyone in support of Russia in any western platform is immediately silenced.
Same way you'll be tagged antisemitic when you point out Israel's bombardment of Syria all these years unprovoked.
Zero regards to sovereignty.

Still, it is up to the governments of those countries to provide internal security to combat the alleged West sponsored terrorism, and not to entertain the presence of more Western powers. They're just compounding their problems and we've seen the multiplier effects in so many historical cases.

Honestly I believe Africa is too divided to counter terrorism alone. Because these terrorist have a very strong international and even local support. And most of them work together, if we are being honest we will agree that most time they are much more organized and even have better logistics compared to even National armies(that's why they Excell in guerrilla warfare.).

But my stance on foregin military bases and operations are always same.
- the base should not be permanent.
- the operation should have a well detailed objectives as well as a specific time limit. (War can be complex and nothing is guaranteed but. At least we should have a time limit for foregin military operations in Africa. If by such time objectives are not met, we can then talk about an extension based on the current level of progress)
We may agree on some other issues but this your take is nonsensical, no offence intended.

You want to bend-over a bit to be fvcked by the Russians because you feel you have some paper-weight excuses for their presence, but you outrightly condemn the same actions previously orchestrated by the US empire?

Africa does not need foreign military bases and installations. We can import foreign expertise to train our military and they'll use our internal facilities for their comfort and operations.

Once their contract expires, they leave. All these double standards no be wetin we need. And I don't play by these rules.

European Foonion.
In my entire life, I've never witnessed such a level of incompetence and doofustry perpetuated by these set of European leaders.

The United States pushed your energy hub into a conflict that will inevitably drive energy prices through the roof. Instead of pursuing diplomatic solutions, you escalated tensions at the behest of your master, escalating hostility to your own detriment. They destroyed your energy route by physically sabotaging Nord Stream 2. After several sanctions imposed on it.

Fast-forward to today, and they seem poised to take control of the very pipeline you built with your partner, forcing you to pay exorbitantly for its use. It's truly astonishing! After Ukraine, Europe especially Germany emerges as the biggest loser in this war.

You mean Nairaland is a western controlled platform?🤣🤣
That's how it looks when you are doing the wrong things and rather than change, you choose to believe a group of people are discriminating against you. Nobody has the time to ostracize you, nobody cares about you.
Who are you in Russia Vs Ukraine matter.

How many pro Russians have been blocked on Twitter.
Is twitter not western controlled?

Beginning January 1, the Samara region of Russia sets a record for one-time payments to so-called contract signers for the "SMO". New recruits will receive a whopping one-time payment of 3.6 million rubles ($32,000). To put this into perspective, an average resident of the region earning a median salary would need 64 months—more than five years—to earn the same amount.

WriteerNg, you once said Russians are living better than Europeans. Right? Just look at a five year salary.🤷🤷.

That same North where "Boko Haram is being pampered" houses the highest number of Nigeria's military installations.

Are you aware that Kaduna State alone is home to almost all the major military installations in Nigeria?

Importing the argument of our internal security instabilities is a very weak tactic to argue the fact that Africa does not need foreign militarization to feel safe.

History has proven that the measure does not work. Whether the power is Britain or France or America or Russia or China or Turkey.

IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK!

⚡Gas transit through Ukraine could be partially replaced by increased supplies via Turkey and Bulgaria.

This was stated by A. Belogoryev, Director of Research at the Energy Institute. The expert suggested that Gazprom could supply gas through the “Balkan Stream” and the Trans-Balkan pipeline.

“Overall, by increasing Turkish transit, it is possible to redirect up to 4–5 billion cubic meters of gas per year, which is about a third of the current transit through Ukraine,” Belogoryev noted.

He also added that the second route could be used to supply gas to Moldova.

⚡Five people died across Germany and a police officer was seriously injured from accidents linked to the powerful fireworks Germans traditionally set off to celebrate the new year, police said in a preliminary count.

Germans celebrate the new year with a particularly intense usage of fireworks, which spurs a recurrent debate about outlawing the most powerful devices, given the high number of injuries each year, as well as the pollution and noise they cause.

Some 13 law enforcement officers were injured as a result of the accidents this year, including one seriously, police spokesman, Florian Nath, said.

Some 330 people were detained in the capital Berlin overnight, police said, adding that contrary to previous years, “there were no major violence or incidents”.

If it doesn't have the ingredients of the definition of terrorism, it can't be called terrorism. There are many federal crimes other than terrorism.

Where do you even think "these niggas" emanate from? Terrorists are bred and used by superior entities for different purposes. You think the machine guns used by bandits are paid for with ordinary ransoms?

Africa has the sole responsibility of staying neutral and independent, while the rest of the world fights dirty. We'll be more stable in the end.

We don't need all these sponsored wars and battles simply because we're looking to appeal to one sect or the other. We can stay largely neutral.

Kuwait is what it is today because they largely avoid unnecessary confrontations and issues. Worldwide, Kuwait has the highest currency, if I'm not mistaken. And it's a really small country, even though it has mild religious inclinations.

Africa does not need all of this!
