The only thing Tinubu wanted is to be president; ambition.

And ambition is not always selfless.
As you want to become wealthy in life I believe you are doing because of street beggars so that you can keep feeding them

Because some of type like Peter does?

Yemi Osinbajo is the worst and the most incompetent vice president ever had despite his education.

Or how can we describe someone at the highest level/rank of academic career and legal profession, but his influence on rule of law, fight against corruption, education and particularly stupid implementation of IPPIS in the tertiary education sector. It took Femi Gbajabiamila, the then Speaker Federal House of Representatives, to end the 10-month ASUU strike in a government where Osinbajo was a stakeholder.

Instead he was reduced to a mere trader money man. He could not stop the Naira Painting Project that crippled the finances of many homes, businesses and leaving many dead when they could not access their monies.
Or you are saying, it was easier said than done, then why did he not resign from the government.

Wining ordinary Party Primaries is Inducements.

It's not about Politics of Inducements we are Talking about its about Politics of Transparency
Though Osinbajo is competent to rule, but if APC gave him their ticket there's no way he would have won against Atiku of the PDP.

I sincerely feel for you if you're judging Osinbajo's competence on the basis of not been able to win APC primaries. Do u know how primaries are conducted at all? You obviously do not understand politics of Nigeria

Oga, in a free and fair contest, ATIKU won't beat Osinbajo.
In an. election between Atiku and Osinbajo, Atiku will. be. declared. winner by 4pm on Saturday while awaiting results from Bayelsa and the riverine areas of Rivers state.

If you know politics as you want us to believe, you will know the impact of the word pastor in a presidential election in Nigeria to. the northern electorate.

Muslim muslim ticket is not. ordinary

Osinbajo failed woefully because of advisers like Babafemi Ojudu. Osinbajo that could not win ordinary party primaries, na him wan win presidency? Had APC fielded Osinbanjo in 2023, Atiku would be president now.
You are talking as if Tinubu won the election or actually defeated those you called if it was a true and transparent election.

I dey shame for your comprehension skills if rigging to win election is what gives TINUBU the edge in your mind.
You don't care to see that this country is bleeding profusely and dying by the hour?.... a thing that Osinbajo (though not the best on that BALLOT) wouldn't allow. For starters he wouldn't devalue the naira and abruptly pull the petrol subsidy scam OVERNIGHT without any contingency cushion in place.
Osinbanjo would have REDUCED THE SUBSIDY WITH PUMP PRICE NOT MORE THAN N500 TILL THIS REFINERIES ( INCLUDING DANGOTE'S) COME ON STREAM.
That's what a sensible humane leader would do that than REDUCE THE EXPENDABLE INCOME OF YOUR CITIZENS SO THEY GO HUNGRY AND DIE IN RICE STAMPEDES,WHILE HE AND HIS CRONIES SPLURGED.

A GREEDY
Re: Tinubu Not Right Man To Rule Nigeria, Osinbajo Visionary – Ojudu by Konquest:

A former presidential Special Adviser on Political Matters, Babafemi Ojudu, has said President Bola Tinubu is not the right man to rule Nigeria at this point in time

Ojudu said having worked closely with Tinubu in the past, he feels his philosophy does not put him in the best position to be Nigeria’s current president.

He disclosed this while featuring on Edmund Obilo’s podcast ‘State Affairs’ on Monday evening.

The former presidential aide also described former Vice president Yemi Osinbajo as ‘a visionary’.

According to Ojudu, Osinbajo would have taken Nigeria to greater heights.

He said: “This country would have gone places with him if he had the opportunity but it didn’t happen

"I’m not Emi Lokan, I feel that having worked and related closely with the principal of Emi Lokan and worked at the National Assembly and presidency myself, I just feel that the philosophy of Emi Lokan was not appropriate at this time.

“Osinbajo was the best person to govern Nigeria at that time having seen him up close.

“Osinbajo is a visionary and let me tell you this, whoever is going to run this country successfully must not be an individual, he must be one person working within a group of people who have the same vision as him.

"You can’t just be a president and have a useless Inspector General of Police, have a useless head of Customs or Immigration or Chief Justice of Nigeria, everybody must sign on to your ideals, ideas, and visions.”

Watching the (video podcast) right above brings things into better perspective now from the veteran Journalist, Babafemi Ojudu's angle and it's his right of choice to hold those divergent views since it's a family thing for him. He CLEARLY said his biological daughter works in the Presidency as well because she is a Tinubu supporter.

What I find really annoying is the highly unprofessional attitude of some online and offline newspaper Editors and bloggers to rewrite, twist or put words into people's mouths. Some of Ojudu's comments in the podcast were "embellished a bit" in the newspaper article on this thread in order to attract more attention and this is why I had resolved yesterday to get this podcast in order to clearly hear what Babafemi Ojudu said because I know how some of these Editors and Journalists embellish situations to attract more readership.
Re: Tinubu Not Right Man To Rule Nigeria, Osinbajo Visionary – Ojudu by Guestmale: 3:20pm On Jan 01, 2025
Every one has his own opinion, both Ojodu and Osinbajo are in Buhari government,so he is more closer to Osinbajo than Tinubu but it doesn't mean Osinbajo would have performed better than Tinubu unless and except he continues with both fuel and naira subsidy policies of his superior which all the three top contenders in last presidential election vows to remove if elected.

Calling all the head of institutions useless is a bit low point and sign of bitterness from Mr Ojodu how much did head of institutions under Buhari performed, Emefiele as a case study. Today two refineries have been brought back to life under Tinubu. There's is a significant result in the fight against terrorists and bandits today.

You’re not politically savvy…

Like Osinbajo… Kwankwaso and Peter Obi who could not win PDP primary clearly showed they lacked the political capital to rule the nation.

Note that in Nigeria’s history these last primaries to decide party flag bearers were the most keenly contested.

If you cannot tame your colleagues Shey na adversaries you wan tame?

Osinbajo and I are from the same place. He cannot win a Local Government Chairman election. Soname (Betnaija) is more acceptable and will defeat Osinbajo in any election in that place. Babafemi Ojudu cannot win a Local Government Chairman election in Ekiti, he rode on Tinubu's political machinery to win the Senatorial election. He cannot win any election again. He is a betrayal just like his master. He fell politically and is on the ground.

Ojudu is still nursing his defeat. No Ogun State politician will vote for Osinbajo at any election.

Do you even think Osinbajo or Obi would have had the courage to initiate some of the bold reforms Tinubu is trying to implement?
^^^
For now, nothing needs to be said about Osinbajo and Obi - they are not the ones in charge. What we do know is that the man in charge - BAT - isn't some bold reformer as some have tried to paint him. He is not. He is an incredibly prodigal politician running a 5th world country - with all the baggage and confusion that comes with that.

The so called reformer continues to make a mockery of what a responsible, prudent federal budget should be, year after year. The 'reformer' removed fuel subsidy (or at least so he claimed), unified exchange rates etc. and then went on to prove that he is even more wasteful than his predecessors. undecided

True reformers lead from the front and they lead by example.

Great Lagos Countdown 2025 yesterday was historically an event that shows Lagos as a unique city.

Nairaland will not write anything about it when it is still hot. If stampede had occurred Nairaland would have brought it forward immediately.

It seems those that sponsors nairaland dictates what to post on frontpage and the time it should be posted. They also regulate pro Tinubu's account like banning, suspension and outright modification or deletion of postings during tough political analysis.

The point is not about winning the Presidency.... it is about the person being a better President ... and if he would've been the right person for Nigeria. In either case ...neither of them is good for Nigeria ...Tinubu worse. Tinubu is not at all interested in the State of Affairs in Nigeria.... he is interested in what he can gain personally while in that position of power .... and about his legacy. He was saying it all along ...it is my turn (to be President and he paid my dues.) Osinbajo may have ideas...but he is a weak minded person that cares about his "image". As vice ...if he had the balls ...the commitment ... what it takes to push the country forward in these times he would've been pushing a lot more for what he believes is the way forward instead of being like a shadow...just following the master. Of the present political class .... if I had to choose two persons to be President and Vice ... let's assume they can get along well ... I would choose the Governor of Ebonyi (the one that sacked the thieves from the health ministry?) as President and Wike as Vice ...one with the right ideas and the other as a fearless enforcer.

Tinubu won't have won either but for buharis neutrality and northern govs insistence on zoning to the south. If not, tinubu would have stormed out of eagles square a loser.

Nigerians would have been happy and fortunate to have Atiku than Tinubu.
With Atiku I do not think Nigerians will be dying of hunger like it is under Tinubu's watch.
