Many years aback, my mother use to make a statement, "Move away from poor people, and mingle more with your level'', i use to find that statement to be rather classist, but i can tell you that she was right. Yes inequality and poverty is rife in our society, but there is a limit to what you can do to help people's situation.

The year 2024 has been a blessed one for me business wise, as i got to invest more of what i earned in my business but the call for help, please help me send, can you lend me request can be overwhelming.

As a hyper independent person it is sad to say that i haven't even gotten a gift from people i have helped touched their life in one way other. Even people who borrowed with the promise to pay back haven't fulfilled their commitment.

I am blessed to have a bit of financial success which i hope to last long and outlive my generation, i can't inconvineince myself to beck on everybody's call. At every point i must look at how i put myself first. So this 2025 i plead with all netizens to put themself first and discard any freeloader that may be a threat to your finances.

Did you become rich by staying away from yourself when you were poor? If not, you are not being factual here at all.

You can spend your whole life in the midst of rich people without becoming rich. You can mingle with the rich and become rich. You can mingle with the poor and never get rich. You can grow up, build your career and become rich in the midst of poor people. It all depends on you.

The poor people around you are never the reason you are poor. The fact is that when some people like you make money, they look for an excuse to maltreat and oppress the poor people around them. You need the poor to accommodate you when you can't sit with the rich. You consider the poor useless when you afford to sit with the rich. Inconsiderate and selfish humans.

You people operate with a very stupid ideology with which you see an innocent friend of a thief as a thief but see a poor friend of the rich as the poor he is.

Dangote didn't migrate to a richer or the richest country before becoming the richest black man. Many claim that Lagos is where music talent pays. But many guys started in the East and became international stars while many in Lagos are still struggling to perform in their streets.

I understand what u are saying psychologically because poor friends would think very weird and your reasoning abilities will not be on same or similar page which will be dragging back in life

So it's good to mingle with your level and kind of reasoning ability friends.

My money is for my elderly mum and dad.
And my immediate family alone.

Every other is help on the spot.
My aunty used to say that we should avoid cheap restaurants if not,u will meet cheap people


My only mission going forward is to save and invest for my retirement.

If you're moving with friends that have a car, in time, you'll have 1 too.
If you're moving with yahoo boys, in time, you'll become one of them.
If you're moving with politicians as friends, in time you sef go join chop national cake.

Some don't have so much, but are not interested in your money.

There is something called 'friendship'.

How do you define poverty?

There are poor people with something upstairs, they can give out a really pretty cool advice which, when you heed to the advice will yield good results.

There are very stupid and entitled poor brats who think that it's your responsibility to cater for them, run as fast as your feet can carry you, stay away from such type of people this year if you want to make it this year, especially the female.

Why? I will never stay away from poor friends but my NO is NO and my YES is YES when it comes to help out if you are not satisfied with me as a friend you can stay off me by yourself.I don't fake things and I don't pretend I say it as it is.

You're right. The major reason to stay away from poor people is not because they always ask for help. For me, the main reason I avoid poor people is mentality. Poverty mentality is worst than death .

This is the reason that we are bringing tax reforms, to keep poor states away from the rich ones . “Men shall be lovers of themselves than others”. In this Tinubu economy, many bonds will be test and retested, from our existence as a nation, marriages, friendships etc.

Be humble bro. Life comes with unpredictable storms. He that thinks he stands should be mindful because he could slip unexpectedly. Life is a slippery road. When you think you have arrived, ugly things can happen suddenly.

Lol... these things are not exactly like this o. Only really poor people (people with less than 1.5M worth) reason like this.

If you see AZ, the person who invited me to cbex, you will laugh and assume he could never have 1M in his account. In fact, he started with 50 at the time. Today man worths >15M. My own financial life has improved. Our friend, who doubles as first person I invited, bought car from this thing. Someone from NL who messaged me late last month, this guy is astronomically richer than I am, like US to Nigeria, he'd never seen me, yet my guide gave him 8M on Monday. Countless other cases like that.
