This business works best when there is fairness btw both owner and drivers.
My belief is all ehailing drivers will one day want to become fleet owners and renters of vehicles in future.
The system works best when there is fairness btw all parties.
Gbajua by one party will bring the whole system down
LETS MAKE THE WHOLE ECO-SYSTEM WORK FOR US

Just discovered this thread.
I have this neighbor (also a long time church member, like a youth pastor) who has been without a job for a while. He reached out to me with a deal. He would be hustling with my car (Honda Civic 09) five times a week and be giving me 25k/week with all repairs on him. I use the car basically only on Sundays. I jumped on the deal thinking it's the best thing after rice. There was no written agreement but he has not failed with his promise since August and to the best of my knowledge, car is in good shape. That's what my mechanic has been saying.
I must confess that he on his own decided to pay 35k/week since first week of December which of course is like a December appreciation gesture from him.
Please, is 25k/week a good deal? I'm not being greedy, just asking to be in the know of this business.
Although he hasn't failed with his payment, should I opt for a formal agreement?
Help a sister.
it's not a good deal. You should be getting a minimum of 60k.

things have changed.

You're being cheated

Truth is, I'm even more confused than I was before I asked my questions.

I'm definitely not even interested in continuing with the deal any more.
I rather just park the car in the house.
park the car until you find someone who will give you 60k a week.

THINGS HAVE CHANGED!

You can make it 70/75k if you absorb all repairs. I strongly recommend you absorb all repairs. 70k weekly is just 10k daily. That's peanuts for a hardworking driver. Any driver that can't pay you 10k is lazy. Keep searching.

Unless it’s for altruistic reasons don’t be fooled, some pay 65k for 7day.
I collect 55k rent my suggestion is 40/45k while he does all the maintenance

Hmmn, it would have been better if you did not find this thread .That sweet relationship btw you and your driver, as you have describe it MIGHT crumble within the next 90 days!!
I am sure by now, you're already HATING ur driver....Why would driver be making 1M naira per month and he's giving you just 100k!
If you already have a MUTUALLY beneficial arrangement since Aug, pls stick to it!
Told you all this guy is a goat

What you are saying is the owner should wallow in poverty, what you are saying is if you have a tenant living in your property , 3bed house in say Lekki paying N500k he lived there since 2010, the landlord arrive from the UK, you are suggesting he accepts that rent like that because he is a very nice man, or a person collecting 35k minimum should not collect the new minimum wage because he is a nice man,
Does that make sense, Awon Gbajua, in a nice way
because O WA MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL.
Awon Agba yahoo!!
I just hate cheating.
Instead of giving honourable advise that will show your integrity.
When I called him a fool, a lot of people thought I was being rude and insulting. The guy is a bird brain. Apology to birds

He's cheating her and he knows it. His conscience couldn't take it anymore and he increased it. It's still a deficit.

Not entirely bad, to me it's a fair deal.
Don't judge with the dashboard you are seeing here.
What you should be after the conditions of the car, so you won't have to spend the little he has given you at last.
The dashboard here is proof it can be done. She should look for WHO can do it and do away with lazy idiots.

It's a new fucking_ year

I have no idea but 25k for 5days doesn't sound fair to me.

We have seen and heard where drivers are netting 30k daily, and someone is paying car owner 5k out of it...
Net is up 45k minimum. Any driver not currently doing 45k daily net should find another hustle. He's a cheat. I hate nonsense.

You're still a fool. No difference between 31 and 1. You were a fool just yesterday.

There's no way you regained sense in less than 24 hrs. Just no way. Find another thread. You've exhausted your usefulness here.

Idiota.

"Kabukabu" made more money than you did in 2024. A fool you are, and more.

No breathing space for idiots this year. Leave the thread while you can. Stupid opinions will unfortunately, not be tolerated.

Common sense is taking over this year.

Indrive has its advantage, in that it clipped the wings of Bolt &Uber.
Especially Bolt as regards acceptance rate bullshit. You don't force trips on drivers. Indrive was able to get an inroute into the market through that single loophole in the app design.
Indrive unfortunately, has become a waste of time.

I don't chase bonus on Uber. It's pointless, 2k trips cos of one 40k.

Destination on Uber ke? Are you joking. grin.
Bolt has the best destination feature .. you can set destination anytime on Bolt. You can't do it on Uber.

I have told you. Uber bonus is suffer head. This is my opinion. Why do i have to wait to do 40 trips to get 40k .
Why can't I do 5 or 6 trips n make that equivalent.

Merry Christmas.
on Uber you do 40 trips in less time it takes you to do 20 trips on other apps. Factor that in.
