Op, the catholic Priest did not do anything wrong. It's like saying a catholic Priest praying for a Muslim who set up his hotel business.

Whether Muslim or African traditionalists, the bottom-line is, they are not the same religion with Christianity.

Honestly I am confused here.

This shows that either the native doctor does not trust his own tradtional religion that he is resorting to Christianity in times of need, or the man does not feel powerful enough to traditionally fortify his hotel against adverse spirits.
