What if God's view is different from your human conclusion on this? The keyword is "worship". After the emphatic 10 commandments, we had the story in Numbers 21: 4-9 where symbolic image was used. There was also the Ark of the Covenant and you also know the story of Uzzah in 2 Samuel 6. Keep in mind that this same Mary carried Jesus whose presence within her led to Elizabeth's words and Mary's response, read Luke 1. That's why some early christians refered to her as new covenant ark of the covenant. The same Mary was central at the very first miracle, Cana in Galilee. She was by the cross, she was with the apostles when the holy spirit descended on them.

Most of these events and many more are probably symbolic. Revelations chapter 12 is another one especially Revelations 12:17.

I swore not to engage deeply with anyone about religion the day I made one annoying fanatic who would'nt let me be until I go to 'his church', slam the Bible on the floor. Mary never died but was transferred from earthly to heavenly existence without undergoing death.

You might as well check Luke 1: 39-45 in your own version of the Bible and post the content here.

Here is what I pulled from New King James Version (that is a protestant version on the Bible):

39 Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah,

You will call Mary "BLESSED" and not "what is special about her, it's just unmerited favour" as seen in Luke 1 unless you are a descendant of the dragon waging war against the rest of her offspring who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Now, go ahead and read from your Bible version the book of Revelations 12 or read from verse 13 to 17.
