Inasmuch as the above write up are entirely true, the language barrier is same.

In Lagos, you can't speak English because you'll get a response in Yoruba. It is logical to find northerners more in Lagos than in anambra. The SE is predominantly Igbo speaking region. Walk up to anyone and speak Igbo and you'll get a response back in igbo.

1. Initially onitsha has lots of agberos but today Lagos is leading in terms of agberos!
2. In SE as a whole, Catholic and Anglican seems to be the dominate churches there and hence must not be criticize, unlike in Lagos or SW.
3. In anambra, most people are not interested in white collar jobs, or getting government jobs they prefer doing business instead unlike in Lagos
4. In anambra and SE generally, their women are highly Manipulative and strictly in the lookout for money, they are extremely money conscious 💰 they call their SIMP men "odogwu" , while in Lagos and SW as a whole, their women are also in the lookout for money too, but too dull to manipulate a man.
Lol at bolded.

Lagos is one of the top financial destinations in the world. It will be naive to say unknown companies pay huge surprise wages. I don't do all those fights they on NL BTW, just stating facts.
Re: Differences I Noticed Between Lagos And Anambra Lifestyles (Opinion) by hotseat:
Comparing Lagos - the Centre of Excellence - with other parts of the country is neither here nor there.

This is so because, unlike other parts of Nigeria, Lagos is a highly dynamic city where its most cosmopolitan nature is a blend of the good, the bad and the very ugly.

It's for this reason, perhaps, it's often referred to as "a no man's land" !

The city has a way of turning a most docile, calm and sympathetic person into a most uncaring and indifferent fiend.

This is not their making but that of the dog-eat-dog atmosphere where all man is for himself and God for us all.

Lagos is simply in a world of its own!

However, Eko Oni Baje o!

I served in Anambra, I agree with all your submissions. You will hardly see ibo men as secondary school teachers. They prefer to make money through business

Where in Anambra? Anambra is a state and I'm sure there are differences between bigger places like Onitsha and Awka, not to talk of the smaller towns like Nzam, Oko, Awka-Etiti, Obosi etc.

In summary...!

Life is on a faster lane in Lagos than practically anywhere else in the country.

If you have lived and worked in the heart of Lagos, then relocate to Abuja, Imo, Delta, Kano, etc, you will be shocked at how even your heart rate slows down... A huge burden is practically lifted off your shoulders.

Even your aging process slows down remarkably.

Many Lagosians don't realize it, but they aren't truly LIVING... Just existing! Some have never breathed clean air in years.
True there,I used to wonder why people love to rush to Lagos..
The life is not for me.
Everyone in a hurry, with stress levels off the chart..

Most of them don't realize it because their brains have become programmed to accept it as normal...! Especially the ones born and raised there.

That's why if or when they are transferred to other states, they see a rude reawakening that they were not truly living.

Well, that's how it is all over the world... Someone living in New York, and moves to Dakota or Wyoming will feel the exact same way.

It is the same for any financial district in the world.
New York
London
Hong Kong
Lagos
Toronto

If you want a stress free life, don't live in any financial city. Expensive cost of living and fast paced life.

A financial district is usually a central area in a city where financial services firms such as banks, insurance companies, and other related finance corporations have their headquarters offices. In major cities, financial districts often host skyscrapers and other buildings of architectural importance and are called financial centres; such major centres also include important financial utilities such as stock exchanges and the offices of the main financial regulatory authorities.

Just read through. You couldnt have said it better.

As for the population of Northerners in Anambra, I guess it says more about the region than the Northerners themselves. Aside Deltans(linked by state boundaries), its very very very hard to see non-Igbos in Anambra(excluding Onitsha). You could just walk into anywhere and speak igbo and most times, 100% of those there are Igbos

Why compare them tho?
Even Abuja is a bit laid back in terms of business timing compared to Lagos.

Drivers in Onitsha are Crazy.

Onitsha sleeps early compared to Lagos 9pm could be like 2am over there....nightlife is very rare same as Benin compared to Owerri or asaba.

There are also lots of Yoruba mechanics in Onitsha.

stop comparing Lagos with those cities. There's nothing in Lagos in term of infrastructure to be compared with those world class cities.. Lagos is just over hyped urban slum. But average black man likes suffer ing and smiling. You need to travel around Nigeria to know how decayed Lagos is.
