Hi folks in the house. I have a friend coming down to South Africa and wants me to come over there so we can spend time together. She wants to cater for all expenses and sorts. My question is, should I apply for a visitors visa or is there a way this friend could bring me over there? Pls I need answers thanks

Option 2: Meet her outside SA.
Both of you should fly to kenya, Ghana or anywhere for a short meet.

In your own interest, follow advise.
As una no gree come each other country, another person country go better. Thats how most people do it.
And again, i hope you have been reading social media.

For the benefit of the newbies like in SA like us, can you kindly give reasons for this, sir?

Societal differences and norms. South African women and men are not Same as us. We are Africans but our way our life differs.
Take this into context, you can not visit a stranger like that on the premise that she will sponsor your stay. Its upsurd and tricky.

Betterstill, you can meet at different scenes and watch the next move.

JUst got this below message in my email, it means no one can appeal south Africa EVisa expect application from VFS to the Embassy....

This might be useful though....

Dear ......

We would like to thank you for writing to the Department of Home Affairs contact centre.

We acknowledge that the wording in the rejection letter directs you to make written representations to the Director-General within 10 working days from date of receipt of the notice, to review the decision. However, the e-visa system is not designed to allow clients to modify the application after adjudication or, to appeal the decision of the outcome. The system only allows you to make changes or to modify the application before you submit it online. We therefore, apologise for the inconvenience caused.

In light of the above mentioned, a new application needs to be submitted via our e-Visa website. Alternatively, please visit the South African Embassy to apply for your visa.

Kind Regards,

Lesego Moatshe

Hi everyone,

I’m excited to share that my sticker visa has been approved! 🎉 I applied on October 18th via VFS Lagos for a tourist visa (first-time traveler) for myself and my daughter. The decision was made on November 18th, and our passports were dispatched yesterday to my address.

Visa Details:
Validity: 3 months
Entry Type: Multiple entries
Stay Limit: Maximum of 30 days per visit

Documents Submitted:
Introduction letter from my employer
Leave approval letter from my employer
Pay slips (provided by my employer)
Bank reference letter-stamped and signed with date physically
Bank statements (6 months, e-signed and stamped)-there was no physical stamp and signatory on my bank statement
Personal introduction letter
Yellow fever card (obtained from Port Health Lagos)
Flight itinerary and direct hotel reservation
Consent letter for my daughter (minor)
Immunization card....etc
I provided all the requirements listed on their official website to ensure a complete application.

Note: Both my passport and my daughter’s were virgin passports, but the visa was approved within a month of submission. Interestingly, the tracking page on their website does not seem to work. Even after receiving my passport, it still shows “no record found” when I enter my details.

Thank you all for your encouragement and guidance during this process!

Hi everyone,

I submitted my SA (study) visa application on 2 January. On 8 January, I was asked to resubmit my a valid yellow card within 3 working days.

Does this request means my application outcome is almost decided on and I should a receive positive outcome (my visa) soon? Thanks

I have resubmitted a valid yellow card. I didn’t do evisa. I submitted at Lagos VFS. I was just asking the time frame for an outcome giving they requested a yellow card resubmission within 5 days of my visa application submission.

Good Evening Guys, Thank you for the information being shared on this platform.

Please, have there been any study or visit visa approvals this year? I applied for a study visa last year in November. I am still expecting a decision to be made. If you are like me, say Yea, Yea.

Thank you Guys.
