There's no need going back again. Tinubu has taken a bold step. It's now in the best interest of oil cabal for government refineries to work as subsidy is gone.
Bro, you are among the very few smart ones on this forum. The refineries are working now simply because the presidency has blocked the loopholes through which the caterpillars and cankerworms are milking the country dry.

Meaning that if dangote hadn't taken this bold step, our refineries would have never worked.

Eleme people did not agree so Yaradua had to cancel the deal. In this area self, President Obasanjo failed woefully.
Which Eleme people? This small boy, what concerns Eleme people with Refinery? Eleme people also stopped Kaduna Refinery.

Yaradua government have nothing to offer Nigeria. They just want to undo all the Reforms carried out by OBASANJO and loot and squander Nigeria resources which they ended up doing with Jonathan

They did the right thing by rejecting it. If they give Dangote that chance any day he wakes up on the bad side of his bed, he will increase price of fuel products as he he wants ..so let him get out ..

Suspecting? Lol. I think Dangote has upto 45-60% of Dangote Group. Not just stakes in the refinery o the I am talking about the whole Company share.

Baba OBJ should have been bold enough, instead of telling Nigerians that the Refineries can't work- simply because- Shell Organisation was given an Opinion!
But he is now wrong and would not accept that those Foreign Companies have their ill-Motives - that Nigeria- Must Not🚫 Work, otherwise, why asking Shell - a Competitor in Oil and Gas,as they have benefited and don't want Nigeria to work!
Anyway,a New Sheriff ( Pres.Tinubu) is in Town and things will work!
So,Our Leaders can also be deceived by Foreigners!
Too Bad - Since 1960- all these Foreigners don't mean well for Nigeria.

NNPC are bunch of criminals... Den of criminals.

Immediately dangote successfully started refining fuel they came out that they likewise has fixed the refinery and will also be exporting but for decades they left us importing fuel from outside

Now they said no fuel to guarantee dangote crude as they likewise need to refine.

It's not far fetched.... They are beneficiaries of all this year's subsidies payments and they don't want to let go and they have their foot soldiers in all platforms trying to dent dangote image including here on nairaland
D same dangote when begin sell fuel for you at 1200 a liter shebi, the same dangote when dey push to sell fuel for 1700,una dull ehn,una nor know say one man nor suppose dey run the entire oil industry, una feel total capitalism go favour Nigerians shebi, dull human being like you.

You just hit the nail on the head .. the turnaround maintenance success is really painful to Baba .. He should calm down and see more developments.. Kaduna refinery will come up by God's grace. What his party failed to do for sixteen good years will be done under four years by the grace of God.

U are d dull one here.
NNPC has been taking billions of naira for turn around maintenance since yaraduah tenure. Go n check how much GEJ spent on turn around maintainance then buhari... After the billions of dollars.. Still yet one petrol no come out.

Immediately dangote successfully built his they came out shamelessly that they have fixed it.

Ask your self a question.. Is NNPC sincere?

So why didn't he do it in his 8 years in Aso Rock?

He was busy bribing lawmakers to get 3rd term.

Obasanjo laid the foundation for the rot in Nigerian democracy. He was an emperor and never a President.

Of course, Obasanjo probably has the biggest stake in Dangote refinery because the land in Ibeju Lekki where the refinery is, was seized by Obasanjo and the Baale and a few others were killed by soldiers when they resisted the takeover.

Thank God, Baba finally opened up on why he failed to manage the Nation's refineries during his 8 years in office.

The Nation has moved on with the failure of Baba and his ilks, in PDP, in respect of their failure to manage the refineries.

The Nation is more interested in what happened to the $16b wasted on 'darkness' by Baba and his successors, in PDP's 16 year rule.
Baba should be bold enough to tell us the name of the foreign company or individual(s) that wrongly advised him, in the mismanagement of the power project fund just as he courageously opened up on what transpired in the mismanagement of the refineries.
