I think the government need to sensitize Nigerians on the types of Cylinder to be used.
Because if a certified CNG has cylinder were to be used it is almost impossible for this to happen.

But we like cheap things in Nigeria so we would prefer Kazeem to bring a 50k cylinder (Oga na the same thing), instead of putting in good money to buy a bullet proof cylinder...

I don't know. But CNG is very much lighter than air so it dissipates rather than catch fire. It's unlike LPG gas which is heavier than air which settles down and gets ignited easily...

I am 100% sure it's not CNG related

Is this news verified? CNG doesn't cause inferno. All car explosions shouldn't be linked to CNG

I don't know much about these gases but I think I have seen recorded incidents where CNG caught fire. Or maybe they were lies too. I don't know.

Re: Catholic Priest Escapes Death As His CNG Car Explodes by meobizy(m): 10:53am On Jan 03, 2025
CNG. That G in the acronym means gas. Anything gas possesses the capability to explode. I’ll stick to petrol, thank you. Safety measures have been crafted around its use for decades if not a century by now.

Most likely. LPG ignition range is between 10% to 90% while CNG is between 5% to 15%

That is: The ignition range for compressed natural gas (CNG) is 5–15% concentration in air. This means that CNG will not burn if the concentration of CNG in the air is below 5% or above 15%. While the flammability range is very narrow the autoignition temperature of compressed natural gas (CNG) is between 540°C and 630°C!

Definitely that is not CNG.
